Correia Landscaping is a New Bedford outfit run by Jose Correia that's covered SouthCoast Massachusetts since 2017, according to the company's own site — lawn care, hardscaping, patios, walkways, grading and seasonal cleanups for homeowners, landlords and a few commercial properties. On Google it holds 4.8 stars from 25 ratings; on Angi, 4.9 from 28. The written record stretches back to 2020 and stays dense with the same kind of detail: driveways expanded, patios poured, retaining walls built, whole lawns torn out and reseeded. A 2021 review describes Jose and his crew removing a faded lawn that spring, sticking with the project through an irrigation setback over the summer, then returning that fall to dig up, aerate, reseed and fertilize the front lawn. Another 2021 review of a paver-and-cobblestone walkway and driveway project — recycling an old concrete stoop into the new design — called the craftsmanship excellent and the attention to detail tremendous. Some of that older run of reviews lists the business as JAC Landscape rather than Correia, still under the same owner, Jose. One customer's account stands apart. A July 2024 review says the crew, reliable for three years of lawn care, started missing scheduled visits — twice promising to show up to level a yard for a pool installation and not showing either time. It's the sharpest complaint in the record, against a long run of on-time, on-budget reviews. A couple of older, smaller reviews from 2020 and 2021 mention a job that ran short on mulch before finishing and a lawn where weeds came back afterward. For a New Bedford-area lawn, hardscape or drainage project, Correia's history is long and largely consistent — worth confirming the schedule in writing for anything with a hard deadline, given the 2024 account of missed visits.
