Cox Mechanical Contractors

Cox Mechanical Contractors shares an address and ownership with Cox Engineering at 35 Industrial Dr in Canton — both trade names for the same company, per BBB's own alternate-names listing. Jonathan Desmond, its President, holds the active Massachusetts HVAC and sheet-metal contractor license behind the work, and BBB's filing puts the company in business since 1945 with an A+ rating, though the page notes it isn't BBB accredited. BBB files the business under Commercial Air Conditioning Contractors, a category built around commercial mechanical work rather than home HVAC service calls — worth asking about directly if you need residential service. BuildZoom's directory entry separately lists HVAC, mechanical and sheet-metal work under the same address. Confirm the license number in hand, ask directly whether they take on residential HVAC calls, and get a written estimate before booking.
