Crack-X

Sealing leaking basement cracks and replacing bulkheads are jobs customers describe hiring Crack-X to do. A June 2026 Google reviewer reported having both a basement wall crack and a deteriorating seal around a sewer-pipe penetration repaired. The same customer said cracks sealed four or five years earlier had never leaked again. Crack-X has a Manchester address, and its website says it provides foundation crack repair, basement waterproofing and related wall, floor and garage-floor repairs across New England. Recent customers name technicians and describe the work directly. In July 2026, one homeowner said Lucas filled two basement cracks and explained the process. An August customer described Steve installing a new bulkhead in a hundred-year-old house, including adapting it to the existing house and having it painted in the shop beforehand. Another August reviewer said Jakob handled crack repairs while James and his crew replaced two basement windows and communicated throughout that work. Explanations, timing and cleanup also receive specific praise. An August 2026 reviewer said Douglas and Steve explained the work before starting, reviewed it afterward and left the site clean. A May customer said the technician arrived on time, completed the work to specification, charged exactly the quoted amount and cleaned up afterward. Google shows 4.9 stars from 70 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau assigns an A+ grade. There is a dated complaint to consider. In September 2022, a Google reviewer reported epoxy splatter, footprints, dust and discarded materials left after crack repairs. That customer also objected to an additional 15 feet of cracking costing half the original quote for 60 feet, and described payment being due on delivery. These are the customer's allegations about that job, rather than an established current pricing policy. Warranty accounts describe different terms: a March 2026 reviewer mentioned a 10-year warranty after repairs to six cracks, while a December 2025 customer described a 20-year transferable guarantee following a foundation-crack repair. The website says the business is family-owned and operates under New England Waterproofing. It traces the company's history to Wayne Fortier forming Poxy-Crete in 1985, which later became Crack-X.
