Craig & Son Creative Stonework builds in stone: its own galleries list patios, walkways, steps, stone walls, chimneys and outdoor fireplaces, and its website names Ridgefield as its service area. The company says it has been in business 20 years. It holds 5 stars from 31 Google ratings and an A+ grade from the BBB. A 2026 customer said the company removed and rebuilt a concrete front porch that had settled toward the house, topped it with bluestone, and replaced the front walkway with bluestone edged with Belgium blocks. A 2025 customer said Craig and his crew repointed a fireplace in an antique home with material that matched the existing brick. A 2025 customer said the company repaired and restored a chimney above the rooftop, installed a slate cap, and completed the job on schedule. Chimneys come with harder cases. A 2023 customer said they asked Craig to raise a 100-year-old field stone chimney to meet code after a new roof, and that he met his budgeted quote and the new stone matches the old. A 2023 customer said Craig came back himself the same day to repair a chimney cap that a chimney cleaning service had disconnected. A 2023 customer described Craig, the owner, and a three-man crew spending five days rebuilding the base of a sloped flagstone and Belgian block walkway and re-cementing all its joints. A 2022 customer said the company repaired a section of a historic stone wall around their church that an out-of-control car had damaged, and repointed some deteriorated areas beyond it at no extra charge. A 2021 customer said his workers finished a 20' x 30' flagstone patio in 3 1/2 days. In a 2021 BuildZoom review, a customer said Craig came the day after they called, told them the chimney problem they suspected was not a problem, and suggested they call a chimney sweep. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0619754, as active, held by Craig & Son Creative Stonework LLC.
Craig & Son Creative Stonework are 5 stars in our book and we wouldn’t hesitate to call them again! From our initial contact through the final cleanup Craig was responsive, showed up when he said he would and knew what needed to be done to fix the problem the right way. They completely removed and rebuilt our concrete front porch that had settled towards the house instead of pitching away which was causing water infiltration during heavy rains. Once rebuilt, They topped it with bluestone and installed beautiful stone veneer on the outside and around the steps, where there was only concrete before. In addition they replaced our front walkway with bluestone edged with Belgium blocks. To finish off the project they removed and replaced our garage apron with matching pavers and Belgium blocks. We couldn’t be happier with the results and are so glad we chose Craig and his team for this project.
Craig and his crew did an amazing job repointing my fireplace! I have an antique home and they used material that matched the existing brick very well. The team worked efficiently, were detailed in their work and very respectful of my home. My fireplace now looks better than ever! I would definitely recommend Craig and Son Creative Stonework.
Craig and his team do excellent work. They are also extremely pleasant and enjoyable to have around. They built us a new flagstone patio, extended an existing flagstone pool patio, repointed our pool area, built two walking paths, and built a new flagstone pathway. I have very high standard and was very pleased with their work. Use them if you want the work done correctly.
Craig & Son Stonework repaired and restored the chimney above our rooftop and they installed a slate cap. We have a historic home and they attended to the necessary details. Their work is high quality, including the materials they used. The job was completed on schedule, they were responsive to special requests as the job was in progress and were mindful of safety. I highly recommend Craig & Son.
Craig’s company did 4 jobs for me in the past 6 months. A new walkway, a small patio, a stone wall and a stone fireplace. All came in on budget, were beautifully crafted, on time and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Craig and his crew.
