The jobs Crawford Land Management gets called for are the ones with a conservation commission attached — eroding coastal banks, salt marsh, pond buffers, sensitive sites where the plan has to be permitted before a shovel moves. Its own site describes an eco-contracting firm in Sandwich built around ecological restoration, shoreline stabilization, and the design and permitting that go with them. The Better Business Bureau lists the business as White Mountain, Inc., with Crawford Land Management and Jenick Studio as alternate names, ten years in business from a January 2016 start, and Jennifer Crawford as Founder/CEO. Much of what has been written about the firm comes from public meetings and local reporting rather than from customers. capenews.net reported in June 2024 that Crawford Land Management completed phase one of the Pocasset Shore Park project under an order of conditions requiring most of the work be done by hand. In January 2025 the Cape Cod Commission credited the firm, alongside Jenick Studio, on the Cape Cod Freshwater Pond Buffer Guidance for homeowners and towns. Its people also turn up on coastal-restoration panels and an erosion-control webinar covering dune restoration, living shorelines and salt marsh work, and its staff appear as the applicant's representative at conservation hearings in Sandwich, Harwich, Barnstable and Plymouth. The customer side is thin: three written Google reviews, and a 4.2-star average across five ratings. A 2024 reviewer who had worked with the firm on several projects described it as prompt and professional with steady communication throughout; a 2023 reviewer said the team helped plan a property that needed a lot of work and got the plan approved by the Chatham Zoning Board of Appeals. The one bad account is specific enough to matter. In a July 2023 review, a customer said an approved coastal bank plan was planted too late in the year, well after the growing season, that many of the bushes never rooted and did not survive the winter, and that the company would not take responsibility for the failure. Planting windows are the whole game on a bank restoration, so pin down when plants go in the ground and what the firm does if they fail to establish. Houzz, under the Jenick Studio name, lists a Massachusetts Registered Landscape Architect credential, a Certified International Arborist and license number 3008 — those are the directory's listings, not something confirmed against a state registry. Massachusetts does not require home improvement contractor registration for landscaping-only work. If your project touches a wetland, a coastal bank or a pond buffer and has to clear a conservation commission, this is the kind of outfit built for that work; ask for the permitting timeline and the planting schedule in writing before you sign.

I've been fortunate to work with Crawford Land Management on several projects. They are prompt, professional, and have great communication throughout the project process. Looking forward to working with them more in the future.
Crawford Land Management is doing a great job for us. We bought a property that needed a LOT of work and they collaborated with us to develop an excellent plan which was approved by the Chatham Zoning Board of Appeals! We look forward to implementing that plan. Onward!
This company did a very poor job of planting an approved plan for a coastal bank. Planted too late in the year, well after the growing season, so many of the bushes did not take root and didn’t survive the winter. Will not take responsibility for the significant failure of the project.
