Crestwood Paving Co LLC puts in driveways, and its Google rating sits at 3.5 stars from 8 ratings. A 2025 customer said serious cracks appeared less than a year after the driveway was installed, that the company refused to come and fix it, and that a lot of the driveway was only 1 inch thick. A 2024 customer said Chris at Crestwood took half of the money down for work that was barely started and never completed, after the customer gave him $4,500 cash to start the job. That 2024 customer also said Chris did not show up when he said he would and asked for a few hundred dollars at a time to pay for gas for his equipment. A 2022 customer said Crestwood's quote came back at about half of their first quote, and that the job ran five visits to the site, prep through conclusion. That 2022 customer said Chris's quote was in writing and was what they paid. A 2022 customer called the Crestwood team professional, efficient and clear communicators, and wrote that their son was flying down the smooth new driveway on his bike. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0542131, as expired, held by Crestwood Paving Co.
This guy is a hack. Not even a year after installed started getting serious cracks they refused to come and fix it. Now it is a complete mess. Only 1 in thick on a lot of the driveway. Should have taken him to court when it first started cracking my own fault live and learn. How he is still in business is beyond me
I gave Chris at Crestwood one star for showing up and taking half of the money down for work that was barely started and never completed. Chris was very unreliable, not showing up when he said he would, asking for a few hundred dollars at a time to pay for gas for his equipment (this after giving him $4,500 cash to start the job). Sadly, we lost quite a bit of money on a contractor that did come highly recommended. I very rarely post bad reviews, however, I would never want anyone else to go through this.
We got 2 quotes. Crestwood came back at about HALF our first quote(a highly referred guy in my particular area) Hard to find people who actually can fit you in where we are. Typically its a next year kind of thing. Superior attention to detail. Five visits to site. Prep through conclusion. Beautiful outcome/work. And what I expected to pay was significantly less than what Chris quoted. We also had two quotes from 2015 that they were looking at. Both forewarned it would be higher for obvious reasons. First guy came back at 10k more than what we had been quoted by separate company in 2015. And his quote was verbal. Chris (CRESTWOOD) came in 1k more. In writing. And its what I paid.
The Crestwood team is great and does fantastic work. Professional, efficient, kind, clear communicators, and detail oriented. Highly recommend using them. Plan to use again for future projects. And the place looks great, our son was flying down the smooth new driveway on his bike last night!
