Croft Roofing runs out of Brighton and handles the full range of roof work — installs, repairs, replacements, and upkeep — for houses and small commercial buildings around the western Boston suburbs. By its own account it's been doing this for 15 years, working Brighton, Cambridge, Brookline, Newton, and Watertown. On Google, the numbers look strong: 23 ratings, every one five stars, and none of the six posted in the past six months came in negative. The two most substantive recent write-ups back that with real specifics rather than a blanket compliment — one customer had a roof and gutter job done and pointed to a crew that showed up on time, walked them through the work, cleaned up completely, and charged a fair price with a warranty attached; another described a crew that pushed through a heatwave, answered questions quickly, and left the yard exactly as they'd found it. There's a wrinkle worth knowing about before calling, though. A couple of the recent five-star reviews don't line up with this business at all — one from late March names a different company, "Rova Roofing," and a person called Collin, and one from February mentions neighbors recommending the crew in Seattle, nowhere near Brighton. That doesn't say anything bad about the actual roofing work, but it does mean the five-star average shouldn't be taken entirely at face value, and it's worth asking Croft directly for a couple of recent local references before booking. For a standard roof or gutter job in the Brighton area, the reviews that do check out describe attentive, tidy crews and fair pricing on both installs and repairs. Get a firm scope and a couple of local references in hand before signing anything.

Rova Roofing has been a wonderful experience for me! They provided excellent work and demonstrated great communication throughout. They sent pictures as the project progressed. This was a nice extra touch. Rova offered the best price among three different contractors. I also found that they were using high-quality products. It was an absolute pleasure working with these guys. Collin has also been a generous sponsor to the Perry High School Athletic Department. Rova Roofing has my highest recommendation!

Very impressed with the roof work and gutter install. The crew showed up on time, explained everything clearly, and cleaned up thoroughly after finishing. Prices were fair, and the warranty gives real peace of mind. I would gladly reccomend them again.

After a large tree branch crashed through the roof of our house, and we had lost quite a bit of shingles we needed to get help as soon as possible. Many of my neighbors in Seattle recommended the roofing company for their professionalism and great work. Elias and the team were amazing from beginning to end. It looks amazing! Every shingle has been perfectly aligned and they replaced our sunroof exactly right. The work was done without a single piece or nail. The crew completed everything in one day despite the steepness and size of our roof. The crew always acted politely and took care to do the job correctly. Communication was excellent with the company, and their price was in line with what our insurance adjuster had estimated. I would use them again in the future for all my roofing needs.
