A recent interior-painting customer praised CW Contractors for promptness, pricing and the result, naming Gabriel and his team. The homeowner also described a follow-up call a few days later and a prompt response about touch-ups. The Farmington company’s Google rating is 4.1 stars from eight ratings. A January 2026 review raises a substantial flooring complaint about work hired in December 2023. The customer said hardwood sanding left swirl marks, machine marks and uneven areas, while an upstairs hallway and stairs were left unfinished. They reported terminating the contractor, obtaining assessments from three flooring professionals, and paying additional costs for corrective work. The reviewer also said the contractor pursued payment through legal action over a post-termination invoice and described the dispute as unresolved. These are the customer’s allegations. Other customers writing in early 2026 praised diligence, cleanliness and reliability. One February reviewer said the work finished on time and under budget. We recently hired cwc to repaint the interior of our house and were very happy with their promptness, pricing, and quality. Gabriel and his team were a pleasure to work with. I was very impressed with a follow up call a few days after the work asking if the job needed any touch ups which they promptly responded to it.
Diligent, meticulous, thorough. Can’t say enough good things.
Reliable, clean and delivered as promised on time and under budget. Would definitely hire these folks again. Would highly recommend!
Great experience. Could not recommend more highly.
Document Everything -We hired CW Contractors (Christopher Walsdorf) in December 2023 to sand and refinish our hardwood floors. We raised concerns on the first day and asked the contractor to view the work. By the second day, there were visible defects including swirl marks, machine marks, uneven sanding, and portions of the agreed scope (upstairs hallway and stairs) were not completed. After termination, the contractor acknowledged issues in writing, including a text stating “sorry it did not work out” and later email correspondence noting that swirl marks and imperfections might be present. We had 3 independent flooring professionals subsequently evaluated the floors and advised that the work was not consistent with industry standards and that the floors would need to be re-sanded and remediated before refinishing. We incurred significant additional cost to correct the work. After this, the contractor pursued payment through legal action based on a post-termination invoice, which added additional time and burden to an already unresolved situation. I’m sharing this experience to help other homeowners make an informed decision. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this contractor. Homeowners considering this company may wish to carefully review references, confirm prior work aligns with what is shown online, and document everything from day 1 with pictures, videos, texts, emails and understand in advance how to navigate the legal process if a dispute arises.
