He diagnosed the likey source and cause (water pouring from an upper roof onto the lower roof at a shingle seam without and ice and water shield or adequate flashing, and debris in the gap, causing water to seep under) then removed the shingles to expose the wet wood and confirmed the leak. He removed the shingles up and down the roof to expose the all the wet wood up to the dry wood, installed ice and water shield, new flashing, built a small cricket to divert water from the corner, and installed matching shingles. Additionally, shingle work at the roof - house line like looks very clean and professional, where a previous roofer just smeared it with lots of sealant.
