The company describes itself as a locally owned and operated family business and says it has been in business for 18 years. On Google it shows 4.6 stars from 38 ratings. In a 2023 review, a customer said they ordered oil and it was delivered the same day, in the early evening in the dark. That 2023 customer called the woman who answers the phone pleasant to speak with. In a 2019 review, a customer said they had been told the company would come within a few days and that a path would need to be shoveled to the tank, but Dan showed up only hours after the call and filled the tank before the path was shoveled. In a 2022 review, a customer who said they had relied on Dan's for years wrote that it delivered when it said it was planning to come. In a 2025 review, a customer who had been with the company for a while said that three days after placing an order there was still no oil and they had run out, and that they would be looking for a new company.
