Daniel Sinclair Electrical Services is a Bourne-based residential electrician working across Cape Cod. The business is registered with the state as Daniel Sinclair Electrician Inc, which holds an active Massachusetts electrician license (No. 8963) verified directly against the state registry. Across 61 reviews spanning 2024 to 2026, homeowners describe a consistent range of work: full panel upgrades (including replacing a 100-amp Federal Pacific panel — a model tied to house fires — with a 200-amp Leviton panel), knob-and-tube rewiring in an older Cape home done without cutting into plaster and lath walls, recessed lighting and fixture installs, a Generac generator hookup, hardwired smoke/CO2 detectors, and home security camera wiring. Several reviewers describe emergency calls answered the same day or on a weekend, including a Sunday-morning fix for a dead refrigerator circuit and a Saturday call for a bad breaker. A number of reviewers say they have hired him repeatedly over multiple projects and years, and several mention quotes that were matched or beaten at final invoice. One review, dated mid-2026, describes a very different experience: an appointment booked nine days out that was missed with no call or response to a follow-up text, in contrast to the promptness so many other reviewers report. It's worth confirming a firm appointment window directly before booking, particularly for time-sensitive work, given that single account sits alongside dozens describing the opposite. For a panel upgrade, an older-home rewiring job, or an electrical emergency on the Cape, the review history and the verified state license point to an experienced, hands-on electrician who takes on both small fixes and larger jobs; confirm scheduling specifics up front.
I wish there was option for choosing 0 stars for this company. A neighbor, who is in the construction field, recommended Danny Sinclair for electrical work. We called Sinclair and made an appointment for 9 days out – his earliest availability. Trusting Sinclair, we didn’t call anyone else- to our later dismay. The day before the appointment we texted to confirm. He didn’t respond. The next day at the appointed time, he failed to appear and he failed to respond to a phone call asking if he intended to come as promised. It was raining but, at a minimum, a responsible professional would have responded to one of the two attempts to contact him and rescheduled. Failing to do so shows a gross disregard for a customer’s time and is an irresponsible business practice. It is beyond our comprehension how this person could have earned 5-star ratings as this can’t be the first time he has acted so disrespectfully. NO RETURN PHONE CALL, TEXT AND NO APOLOGY FOR HIS BEHAVIOR!!!! UPDATE: Mr. Sinclair- you are clearly lying as you know exactly who I am and who referred you to me. He is a builder who contacted you to let you know that we would be callling. We have your number in our phone. And we did so call on June 28 at 1:44 pm. On top of your reprehensible behavior you can add duplicitous. SHAMEFUL!! When we didn't hear from you, we called this builder and he stated that he contacted you and left a message which, apparently, you didn't reply to either so your behavior is consistently the same...unless, of course, you are calling our mutual connection a liar.
Lost power to our refrigerator at730 pm on a Saturday night. Called Daniel and he was at my house at 9am the next morning , a Sunday. He was very friendly and found my problem real fast and fixed it. Great Job. A great recommendation to anyone who needs an emergency Electrician
I am so happy to have hired Daniel and his team to help me with a complicated knob and tube rewiring job at my house. He was confident in taking on the work and was able to find creative solutions to not cut holes in my plaster and lathe walls. He also completed the work in a shorter time period than expected. Many other electricians wouldn't take on the work or would provide me with quotes double what he charged me. Daniel and his team were timely, efficient, and professional. Can't recommend their services enough!
Great service, great quality! Would highly recommend!
