The licence block is where a homeowner should slow down. BuildZoom prints four Massachusetts entries against this one name — a construction supervisor licence, CS-079976, and a home improvement contractor registration, 181991, both of which it says it saw active in 2026; a second HIC number, 148751, listed inactive and at one point cancelled; and a fourth, 33370, printed as active in the same block that records an expiration last seen in May 2017. All four are the directory's claims rather than confirmations from the state registry, and the contradictions between them are reason enough to ask Masse which registration is current and check the number yourself. One more thing worth knowing: the "25 years of experience" line on his BuildZoom page is that site's own generated copy, not a figure he states or a record confirms, so it shouldn't be read as tenure. By the shape of the permits he is a general remodeler working on full-scope jobs. Ask for the current HIC number and for references from recent projects before committing.
