The name says roofing, but almost every job customers describe is masonry: front steps, walkways, brick walls, chimneys, and wet basements. Decked Out Roofing and Construction Corp. works out of 155 New Boston St in Boston, and its Angi listing puts 16 years behind it — the company's own figure, not a verified one. Everything known about the company sits on one platform, where a 4.6 average rests on twelve reviews going back to 2025. The recent months are mixed rather than glowing. In July a customer had a chimney inspected and repaired and said the crew left the area clean; in June another had a gutter and skylight handled quickly. Basement work draws steady praise too — several people describe damp smells and leaks gone after waterproofing. Then there's the May complaint, and it is the most detailed account anyone has left. A homeowner budgeted $2,800 to shore up her front steps and polysand the walkway, and the job ended at $7,000: $3,200 more when the staircase turned out hollow and needed a cavity fill, $1,000 for a rotten board under the door frame. She said the patch on the steps was never blended and the walkway still had cracks and moss, that a promised clean-and-seal was postponed and then called free, and that she paid $7,000 by check because the card machine was down. The company answered on the same page, saying it never demanded payment, that the work had been performed, and that it holds photographs of the corrections. That reply is worth reading alongside the complaint. One thing to keep in mind while weighing the star average: that single customer's account appears twice on the page, once at one star and once at half a star, so it is one unhappy job rather than two. Angi also flags the company with a "this pro is under review" banner. And seven of the twelve reviews are short, similarly worded five-star notes all posted in one month of August 2025, which is a thin foundation for a 4.6. For small masonry repairs and basement waterproofing, they have people who say the work held up. Given how the one detailed job went, get the scope itemised in writing before anyone starts, agree in advance what a change order costs if something opens up behind the steps, and settle how you will pay — and confirm their Massachusetts registration directly with the state.

Brick and Stone Flatwork Repair. The technicians carefully inspected everything, completed the repairs with excellent workmanship, and left the area spotless. Our chimney is now safer, stronger, and working perfectly after their professional service.

Brick and Stone Flatwork Repair. $7,000. Est to shore up my front steps, repair and polysand walkway 2800 On day of work, staircase hollow +3200 to fill cavity. A rotten board under my front door frame +1000. Said it was a big job to remove some siding for repair. Replaced a smaller span and NOT remove any siding just a piece of wood under to door frame. I asked for a discount due to the work change. No! The patch job on the front steps was not blended looks bad. Polysanding still has cracks and moss. I felt way overcharged for the work done so he said he did not clean and seal the stairs and walkway. I offered him 5000 and pay him the rest when the job was done. He said the job was done and that the cleaning and sealing was free! (He had to postpone that free work last minute) I got intimidated as he would not leave unless I paid him 7000 by check! Angi said he takes credit cards, he does not thus no consumer protections. I will update review if he makes it right. See pix for finished work.
