A 90-foot retaining wall and a leveled backyard: a recent Google customer said Deering Ridge Landscaping built both, and called the engineering structurally sound. The company's website lists hardscape installation, pavers, natural stone hardscape, granite steps, lawn installation, lawn maintenance, mulching and snow plowing. It names a service area running from Waterboro and Scarborough to Biddeford, Saco, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Wells and York. A recent customer said Derek put in a new lawn at their camp. A recent customer said Derek got them a quote promptly, called the quote fair and reasonable, and said he arrived on time. A 2026 customer said they hired Derick for three projects — a patio, granite steps and planting roughly 30 trees — and wrote that he delivered on all three. A 2026 reviewer said he explained the whole process, from depth of excavation and materials to grading, and wrote that through the 2025/26 winter, with frost four feet deep, the pavers did not heave. A 2026 customer said Derek worked around a couple of other contractors' schedules and kept the job on time and on budget. A 2026 customer said Derek explained drainage concerns for their patio and retaining wall. In 2026, a customer said Derek and the Deering Ridge team had handled their yard maintenance and snow removal for several years. I highly recommend Deering Ridge Landscaping for large scale patio hardscape projects. We engage them to design and install a substantial patio hardscape, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The team was professional throughout the project, communicative, punctual, and respectful of our property and neighbors. They provided a clean plan and timeline up front, then stuck to it. Keeping us informed of any adjustments along the way. The quality of the finished work exceeded our expectations. The patio is level, well drained, and built with clean precise lines and fantastic pavers. The craftsmanship is evident in every detail, from the base preparation to the final finish touches.
Derek did a great job putting in a new lawn in at my camp!
Derek and his team did an exceptional job! From the beginning, he went above and beyond to ensure we received a quote promptly. He wasted no time and provided us with a fair and reasonable quote. He also fulfilled all his promises, arriving on time and completing the job efficiently. Derek is very personable and easy to talk to, making him an excellent choice if you’re looking for someone who treats you with respect and professionalism.
Highly recommend Deering Ridge Landscaping. They installed a 90’ retaining wall and leveled out our backyard so we could have a more functional space for our family. They did a fantastic job, not only does it look beautiful, the engineering is structurally sound. This investment will stand the test of time and we are looking forward to working with Derek on our next project!
I would hire Derek again for landscaping work! He & the crew completely relocated my 1-year old driveway in a day to mitigate major water drainage issues that had also created a dangerous driveway. They are hard workers, and completely professional. First rainstorm and I'm no longer worried about my house flooding or having a washed-out driveway!!! I am super happy with my new driveway!!!!
