DeMassa Appliance Service describes itself on its BBB page as an in-home appliance repair shop that also sells reconditioned appliances, covering washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, wall ovens, dishwashers, microwaves and air conditioners. It is BBB accredited with an A+ grade. A 2026 customer said Al helped track down a discontinued part free of charge. Earlier in 2026, a customer said the company saved them hundreds of dollars by helping them order a necessary part before coming to fix their fridge. A 2025 customer said a tricky refrigerator issue took several visits and parts to figure out, and called the company very fair on prices for repairs. A 2025 customer said a nine-year-old wall heating and air conditioning unit would not turn off; when the first part did not work, the company contacted the manufacturer, printed the schematics and manual, came back the next day and finished at the original estimate. A 2025 customer said a technician came the same day their refrigerator broke, and the company offered to loan them a refrigerator while their new one was delivered. A 2022 customer said another repair service quoted $2500+ for a built-in KitchenAid that was not cooling; after a $170 service call from DeMassa, it was working fine. A 2022 customer who bought a used washing machine from the shop said a service tech came to Stratford, returned two days later with the ordered part and fixed the washer at no charge. A 2022 customer who runs an animal hospital and boarding facility said the staff found the part to get a clothes dryer running the same day, two days before Christmas. A 2025 customer said that after a tech inspected their range, the promised call to schedule the repair never came; a month and a half later the store said the ticket must have been lost, a second tech came out, and after three more weeks without a call they went with another business. A 2025 customer said a washer delivered to Monroe came with a receipt stating 20% off all parts and labor, but when it leaked 18 months later the company said it did not service Monroe and asked them to bring the machine back for a diagnostic test. A 2024 customer said an inlet valve repair on a washer came to close to $500, with the part priced at $140 something against $30-$60 on the Whirlpool website, and said the person on the phone was rude.
“Demassa”
Al was incredibly helpful. I needed a discontinued part, and he helped me track it down free of charge.
Best appliance service we've ever used. Speedy response. Great repair skills. And really nice people too. They saved us hundreds of dollars by helping me order a necessary part before they came to fix our fridge. Highly recommend them!
Great service and sales experience. Very knowledgeable, too. I was very happy with them and definitely will use them again
I'll recommend Demassa to anyone. I've found they are very fair on prices for repairs, and will stick with a job until it is done properly. They have done several repairs for us including a tricky refrigerator issue that took several visits and parts to get figured out. I think a lot of places would have looked at it as an opportunity to milk a job for more money, but not the case with Damassa. Fair people who do great work.
Amazing experience. These guys and gals really know what they're doing. And very reasonable rates as well. Thank you very much.
