DeMelo Brothers is a family-run landscaping company based in Marstons Mills, serving Cape Cod with landscape design, lawn and garden care, irrigation, hardscaping, planting, patios, walkways, and related property work. The company says it has operated since 1976; customers also describe it as an old-school family business, and several reviews name Rob as the person guiding design, permits, and project communication. The long customer history is mostly specific and positive. Reviews describe grading and irrigation that produced a successful new lawn, retaining-wall rebuilding, patios, brick walkways, gardens, tree planting, mowing, fertilization, pruning, mulching, spring and fall cleanups, and firewood delivery. Customers repeatedly mention prompt responses, clear plans, on-time completion, careful cleanup, professional crews, and willingness to explain choices. One customer said the company transformed an unkempt property into an attractive, functional landscape; another described a year-long Osterville project with new lawns, gardens, trees, walkways, and irrigation. The review history runs from 2022 through 2026 and includes 59 Google reviews, with one detailed recent complaint. Before booking, ask how current workload will affect scheduling and who will own follow-up if something needs correction. One recent customer reported a serious lapse in communication, an overgrown walkway, repeated delays, and a missed mowing appointment after four summers as a customer. Another review praised the work but said cleanup occurred later than preferred because the company was very busy. BBB lists the business as not accredited and not rated; that is directory context, not a finding about workmanship. DeMelo Brothers looks suited to homeowners seeking an established Cape Cod landscaping partner for both recurring maintenance and larger design or installation projects. Confirm the scope, schedule, follow-up contact, and current licensing or insurance documentation before work begins.
I’ve been a customer for four summers, but this year’s experience has been incredibly disappointing. Communication completely fell apart, and working directly with Nick was frustrating from start to finish. The crew’s lack of attention to detail left my walkway overgrown with weeds to the point that it was completely usable. After a month of getting no response, I had to contact corporate, who promised the issue would be addressed. Another month passed with repeated follow-ups and excuses, but nothing was done. To top it off, on the very day they were scheduled for my weekly mowing, they informed me they were no longer servicing my property. Just a week earlier, the crew had also forgotten to put my fence back up after removing it to mow. I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable—just reliable weekly lawn service that I was paying $65 per visit for. Unfortunately, the customer service, communication, and attention to detail were all unacceptable
This company has helped with so much more than my landscaping! They are very resourceful and helpful
Aeration, top dress, seed, main pkg. My lawn is a carpet and getting better each day
Great guys. Competitive pricing. They’re prompt & do what they say they’re going to do. I’d recommend them to anyone for any reason. We have them treat our trees, mosquito & tick organic spray, organic fertilize, build a cobblestone pathway, kill poison ivy k weeds, dig a hole for my son’s deck.
They are timely and professional.
