His Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #183524, is active on the state registry in his own name, and he also carries an active Construction Supervisor licence, CS-089971. BuildZoom's permit file shows eight permitted jobs between 2016 and 2022 in Easton, Taunton, Mattapoisett, East Bridgewater and Chestnut Hill — a new $334,200 house in North Easton, a three-season porch and room over a garage, a $38,000 Chestnut Hill kitchen, a basement refinish, stairs and railings, and siding.
The written feedback is real but old and thin. In a September 2018 review a customer who had used him for several jobs — a cellar and bathroom remodel, interior painting and a roof — called him hard-working, trustworthy and conscientious, and mentioned he renegotiated with a tile supplier to get her a better price; she also says she has known him since he was a child, which is worth weighing. A separate BBB reviewer, undated, said his quote was the most reasonable of three they collected for exterior water damage.
Two things are worth raising before you sign. BuildZoom's permit history lists a 2017 North Easton alteration valued at $98,500 as permit revoked, and it lists an earlier home improvement registration, #146607, as inactive and at one point cancelled, while the current #183524 was issued in October 2025. Neither says what happened, so ask him directly.
This is a small, licensed, permit-pulling outfit for a homeowner who wants one person accountable across a kitchen, bath or basement job. Ask for two or three references from the last two years, ask about the revoked 2017 permit and the earlier registration, and get the scope and payment schedule in writing.
