Division 7 ASM is the kind of roofing company homeowners usually look at for specialty exterior work rather than a plain shingle swap. Its own site says the Amesbury shop serves residential and commercial customers across New England, with roofing, gutters, siding, and in-house custom metal fabrication; the service list leans heavily toward standing seam metal roofs, copper gutters, sheet metal, slate, cedar, rubber, flat roofing, and asphalt roofing. The customer review history here is small but clean: Google lists 5 stars from 20 ratings, HomeAdvisor lists 5.0 from 5 ratings, and the all-time review set runs from 2023 to 2025 with a positive tone across 22 reviews. Because the written comments in this packet are older than the six-month cutoff, they are best used as a broad track-record read rather than current job anecdotes: people repeatedly praise Al and the crew for metal roofing, copper work, roofing detail, and follow-through. The company also has a real trade-credential story, but it should be read carefully. The website says Division 7 has EPDM, PVC, Kemper, Rheinzink, and OSHA safety certifications; BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts Sheet Metal Business license and Home Improvement Contractor registration #154220 for Division 7 Architectural Sheet Metal. Those license lines come from BuildZoom, so a homeowner should still confirm current status directly with the state before signing. The main thing to clarify is tenure. The website says both that Division 7 has served New England since 2004 and that it has 40 years in business, while HomeAdvisor lists 18 years of experience. That does not undercut the roofing work by itself, but it is worth asking how long the current company, crew, and owner have been operating under this exact business before booking a larger metal or copper project.

Excellent work from Division 7 on replacing our asphalt shingles with a standing seam copper roof. Al and his team, including Zach, Jason, JP and Blaine were all professional and meticulous in detail. Highly recommend Division 7 for any metal roofing work.

I hired Div 7 ASM to install a metal roof on my porch and solve a flashing problem where two rooflines come together. I can’t say enough about the professionalism, responsiveness, and competency Al and his team demonstrated from initial contact to project completion. A great overall value for the price! Great atention to detail! The owner and his crew are master craftsmen And take pride in their work.. We have a basic Cape Cod home that received a replacement roof skylight and some trim work. The Owner and his team treated our home like a multimillion-dollar home. The attention to detail with the copper flashing and lead soldering typical of high-end Homes was surprising. The crew was very polite, hard working and kept everything Safe and orderly. Highly recommend!

What does a roof replacement cost in Greater Boston?
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Division 7 ASM, Inc.. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.
Estimated range
$9,000 – $18,600
Typical roofing project around $13,800
