DPM Fence & Home Improvement is a fence contractor based in Wilmington, MA. In a 2012 review, DPM replaced a cedar fence with a vinyl fence, with each post set in concrete and the gate posts reinforced with wood 4x4's. A 2011 review says a backyard vinyl fence job was complete in about 3 weeks, and that they took their time fitting the gate so it would close properly. A 2010 review says the fence was straight, plumb, and all posts were cemented in. In a 2015 review, DPM installed two fence runs in a back yard and the work site was left clean afterward. Dave did a decent job installing my fence several years ago, however, when I have called him to ask if he could come out and replace rotting rails and posts, he has not had the courtesy to return my calls. My low rating is because he has no follow-up and no customer service after installation.
Hired Dave to install basic wood fence with gate. After a few years, posts began to become loose and gate came out of square. He did not use concrete at base of gate posts as is industry standard. I called, emailed, and texted many, many times. He just ignored me.
In 2017 I paid close to 7 grand for a new pressure treated fence installation, new gate and old fence removal. The owner of the company, Dave explicitly told me that if I ever had any problems to just let him know. This is after he told me personally told me that I would not have to worry about this fence for many years after his installation. Shortly after the installation was completed, I noticed that the gate that he made came out of square. It was warped so much that a small dog would be able to escape the yard. I called him to see if he would be willing to take a look at it and put another brace on it to fix it. He never even bothered to return my call. I have since reached out to him multiple times since last summer, and again last week since the new fence is already leaning over in one section and another three sections sway when the wind blows. He tells me that he will come by but never shows up. What is worse is that when I reach out by telephone or text, he refuses to call me back or even just respond to my text message. Save yourself some aggravation and go with a different company with excellent customer service. Lip service will not help you fix your fence problems!
Dave is an awesome guy to work with. He came when he said he would and took the time to walk the property with me and answer all questions/concerns. His pricing was very reasonable .The fence came out great. I could not be happier with this project. I highly recommend DPM Fence.
