E.B. Rotondi & Sons has been working out of the same Stoneham yard for generations — the BBB dates its file to 1932, counts 94 years in business, and names A. Joseph Rotondi as president over about 20 employees. The work is heavy and mostly underground: municipal water and sewer, underground utilities, site work and demolition on the commercial side, and for homeowners driveway paving, retaining walls, tennis courts and landscape design. The one recent complaint is worth reading before hiring. They gave three stars and noted the crew was polite and the work itself was completed — a follow-through problem rather than a workmanship one, but if the video is the thing you're buying, get the deliverable in writing. For a driveway, a failing water service or a sewer line that has to come up, this is a long-established local crew with recent, specific jobs to point to. Nail down the scope and every deliverable — inspection footage included — before they dig.
