Eagle Environmental is a West Boylston radon mitigation contractor that shows up constantly in one place: recommendation threads. On r/boston, one commenter told someone worried about radon to "look no further" in a 2026 post, and another in 2025 said the company's price and workmanship beat anything else available for a two-system install. The company says it has been doing this work since 1987 and has installed more than 33,000 residential and commercial radon systems across Massachusetts. The written reviews back that reputation up. Google shows a 4.9-star average from 74 ratings, and the reviews from the past several months keep repeating the same details: fast, professional installs, technicians who clean up after themselves, and radon levels dropping from dangerous readings into the single digits. A recent review described a radon fan that failed being swapped out under warranty the same week at no cost, and another from late 2025 said a fan-noise complaint got a next-day fix. What stands out across years of reviews is the company's handling of hard cases. Customers with sandy soil, a house built on ledge, and one historic timber-frame home have all described technicians working through unusual conditions rather than walking away, and in one 2025 review a customer wasn't a good candidate for a system at all — the technician said so plainly instead of selling one anyway. Several reviews also describe the company coming back, sometimes more than once, to get radon levels under the warranty threshold when the first install didn't fully solve it. One thing worth knowing: in a 2026 review, a customer with a historic timber-frame house who wanted a custom solution for a basement they planned to finish rated the experience 1 star, though the review doesn't spell out what went wrong. It's an outlier against dozens of five-star accounts running back to 2021. BBB lists the company as accredited with an A+ rating for radon mitigation installation, and the company says it's listed by the National Radon Proficiency Program as proficient in radon mitigation. For anyone who's tested high for radon, Eagle Environmental is a well-documented option with a long track record in the state — worth asking, given the one flagged review, how it would handle an unusual structure like a historic timber-frame house before signing on.
“Radon: Eagle Environmental. Look no further.”
“so we actually had eagle environmental at our last house and they’re wonderful. They came in to look at this house for an initial estimate. We’re certainly not passing by or doubting their estimate because we have a good history with them”

“$3000 is a good price and Eagle does great work. You won't find a better price or contractor for a two-system installation.”
“Another vote for Eagle Environmental. Should run you about $1500 give or take.”
We are super pleased with the work that was done for our home. Professional, responsive and completed our work quickly. Very happy we used them!
Eagle Environmental really blew us away! Our radon fan unexpectedly stopped working, but thankfully it was still under warranty. Bryan quickly replaced the old fan with a new one under the warranty, making the whole process smooth and stress free. Kevin was also fantastic. He answered my call promptly, called me back quickly to schedule a visit, and had someone out to diagnose the issue in no time. From start to finish, their communication, professionalism, and customer service were top notch. If you have any radon-related issues, don’t lose sleep over them. Eagle Environmental has you covered. I highly recommend them!
I was in need of a radon mitigation system for my new house. However, I was looking for a custom solution because I have plans to finish my basement and (most importantly) my house consists of historic timber frame construction. I contacted Eagle Environmental because I had heard good things about them on the internet. I initially met with Vincent, a sales rep who visited on-site. He was very polite, listened to my needs and concerns, answered questions and submitted a proposal fairly quickly. However, I noticed something off about the design he was proposing (having done over a dozen residential renovations in the past 10 years) and after some back and forth determined they were going to bore a very large hole through a very important structural element of my home. I verified the dimensions of the structural element they were going to penetrate through multiple ways, including consulting both a professional architect and a professional structural engineer who both had access to the original blueprints. We determined their proposed design would penetrate over 12 inches of solid wood. So I went back to Vincent and he said Eagle would be willing to bore through my cement foundation instead for an additional charge. I was fine with that and was working with Vincent on finalizing the details of the updated proposal when I got an email from someone named Kevin asking if I could jump on a call with him... On June 12, 2026 at 2pm I called up Kevin and he introduced himself as Kevin Murphy one of the co-owners of Eagle Environmental. For the next 15 minutes, I was completely berated and harassed by Mr. Murphy who claimed that neither I nor my associates had any idea what we were talking about. He claimed that the basement penetration would not go through more than 1.5 inches of wood (when in actuality it was a foot). He explained that he has been in construction for 10 years before taking over this company and all houses have the same kind of framing, because no other kinds of framing exist, and he doesn't need to look at my house to tell me I'm wrong . He also mentioned that no homeowner would ever care about the structural integrity of their home or ask a contractor these kinds of questions so clearly I must be trying to waste his rep's time. And finally he said and I quote "y'know what, if we need to bore through the cement instead of the wood, I don't even want this job!" During this 15 minute call I only spoke for a total of 30 seconds. I very calmly asked him "how much wood do you think you need to bore through?" and "what were you hoping to accomplish by asking me to call you?" That was it. The rest of the call was him ranting. He showed no desire to consult any of the evidence I collected and showed no interest in hearing my side of the story. I don't know if Mr. Murphy was having a bad day and needed to take it out on someone, but this is not rational behavior. A rational business owner simply intervenes and calmly say they don't want a job if it starts becoming complicated and doesn't fit their cookie cutter approach. A smart business owner sees the opportunity in a custom job to bring in more revenue and create a more positive reputation among potential customers. However an irrational business owner, like Mr. Murphy, torpedos a deal shortly before his sales rep closes it and chooses to use his business as a platform for him to announce to the world how much smarter he is than everyone else. I don't have time in my life for nonsense and neither do you. So I am writing this review so you can avoid wasting your time with Eagle. I'm sure their crew is probably capable of good work but I do not recommend you use this company while under their current ownership. The current owner is toxic and there are plenty of other people to work with.
Bob was very thorough the radon level went from 22 to 1.3 today. I'm very pleased with Bob's work.
Eagle Environmental did a phenomenal job installing my Radon Mitigation system. The communication was excellent, they were very thorough, cleaned up after themselves and kept us updated throughout the entire process. I would recommend them to anyone.
