The Earthshare Construciton team was great to work with when renovating my home. They caught problem areas we had overlooked and the added weatherproofing has made a huge difference this winter. Professional decorum and respectful of our needs and timing to get the work done. Highly recommend this crew!
Very successful project start to finish (10) Easy process and explained well Good crew all around No questions regarding this project. Job well done. Thank you.
I used Earthshare through NHSaves weatherization program. They were incredible to work with. Flexible, responsive and listened to my goals for the work. Would definitely work with them again on future projects
We worked with Earthshare Construction last year to do a home energy audit. Our home qualified with NHSaves for a free energy audit which meant our house had a very high energy usage for its size (poorly efficient). Martin came out for the energy audit portion. We went through the whole house and identified all sorts of ways the house was leaking air or lacked efficiency. Martin was very thorough and answered all my questions. A week later Martin sent us a proposal that identified the highest areas of improvement, the estimated cost savings, and the payback time. Again, we qualified for rebates with NH Saves so we had about 85% of the total project cost covered. Things that were done were air sealing the whole house, spray insulating rim joists, spray insulating parts of the attic, and adding 12" of insulation to the attic. The air sealing was done by Earthshare's own employees who were super friendly and did a great job, 5/5 stars. The original project target was to reduce air leakage by 30%, but they were able to reduce leakage by 50%. That's a massive difference. The insulation was done by a subcontractor, and I thought they did a nice job also, 4/5 stars. My rating was lowered because I thought they could've been more careful and cleaner with the insulation dust. In the end, everything was fine after we cleaned up and I'd still recommend the insulation contractor. We're coming up to a year mark when the weatherization was performed and I do notice the house stays warmer and feels more balanced. I haven't added up our propane totals yet but it will be interesting to see how many gallons of propane we'll save each year. The savings will probably be somewhere in the area of $700 per year. Seeing the whole project cost us a little less than $1000 out of pocket, it was a no brainer. I definitely recommend the weatherization team at Earthshare.
We highly recommend working with Earthshare. Annie and Berne make a fantastic team—professional, thoughtful, and easy to work with. From our first contact to our last, their communication was excellent: clear, timely, and respectful. Although we ultimately decided to postpone our building project, we would have been very happy to move forward with Earthshare and wouldn’t hesitate to work with them in the future.
