Eastside Stoneworks is a masonry company that describes itself on its website as locally owned and operated, and its Angi profile names Eric Furney and Derek Waters as its owners. A recent Google customer says Eastside Stoneworks repointed their chimney and that Eric and his crew worked quickly and left the house clean. On Google, a customer whose 40-plus-year-old chimney had to be redone before a roof replacement says Eric and staff rebuilt it, and that Eric gave a professional and fair quote. A recent customer says Eric has been their first call for masonry work across multiple projects over the last few years. A 2024 customer who hired Eric and Derek said they demolished an existing broken chimney, hauled everything out and rebuilt a new one. A recent Angi customer says the job was to replace the chimney stack from the roof up, that the work day was delayed three times, and that when they finally showed up, over a month later, they asked for an extra $1,800, blaming the other partner for underestimating the job. A 2023 customer said they hired Eric to repoint and recap their chimney and that it leaked in the rain after the work was paid for. That 2023 customer said Eric claimed it was not his work that let the water in, and said his helper had actually done the work on that chimney. The same 2023 customer said they had to hire a new mason/roofer. A 2024 BuildZoom customer said they hired Eric in 2023 to repair brick steps, noticed several missed spots about four days later, and got back half the money they demanded only after five to six months of texts and calls and an emailed threat of a lawsuit.
