The overwhelming majority of reviews describe the same thing: a named project manager — Graham, Jason, Steve Kupiec or Joe Greene shows up most often — who communicates clearly, keeps to the schedule, and runs a crew that finishes quickly and cleanly. Specific jobs back this up: a 2021 review described a new curb that finally solved years of yard flooding from a street with no sewers, a 2023 review described the crew securing special town permitting to repair storm-damaged pavement near conservation land, and a 2022 review credited staff member Andrea with sending a crew back, unprompted, to fix embankment erosion that had cracked a driveway installed years earlier. The complaints that do surface are specific rather than vague, and they cluster around a few real issues. Several reviews — including one from a subcontracted job — describe a driveway edge cracking or crumbling within about a year of installation. Others describe conduct around job sites: crews starting before the permitted hour, trucks running stop signs, and, in one case, oil stains left on a neighbor's property that went unaddressed after repeated calls. A couple of reviews describe smaller jobs getting bumped for bigger ones, with one customer saying they signed a contract and then never heard back on a start date. One recent review also noted the final price ran higher than initially expected, though the customer still called the company trusted and dependable. For a standard driveway or a larger paving job where EJ Paving is the priority, the pattern here is a company that communicates well and does careful, sometimes above-and-beyond work. If your job is small or price-sensitive, it's worth pinning down a firm schedule and getting the estimate in writing before signing.
