Elm City Garage Doors works on garage doors, and its website says it has been in business for 11 years. In a 2023 review, a customer said Chris presented various options to suit their needs and style, then replaced the old garage door with a new door and track within a few hours. In another 2023 review, a customer whose door wasn't working said Chris quickly diagnosed the issue and put a temporary fix in place while he ordered replacement springs. That 2023 customer said he later installed the parts, checked the hinges and rollers, and that the door was quiet and working better than new. A 2023 reviewer whose wife's car was stuck inside the garage with a broken torsion spring said Chris came out within a short time and freed the car, even though the door was not the brand Chris currently represents. That 2023 reviewer said Chris now had the spring on order. In a 2020 review, a customer with a two-car garage under a living space said the doors were so loud and shaky they tried not to use them; within 45 minutes the doors sounded brand new, and that 2020 reviewer said it was a lot cheaper than they thought it would be. In a separate 2020 review, a customer said Chris fixed both of their doors fast and at a reasonable price.
Service after the sale is key. Chris has done work for me before on 2 other garage doors on my property. The door that needed service was sold and installed by another company in the 1980s. My wife's car was stuck inside the garage with a broken torsion spring. Even though the door in question was not the brand that Chris currently represents. He came out within a short time. Freed my wife's car and now has the spring on order. Shortly I will be replacing 2 doors of the same age and Chris will be my first choice to sell the replacement doors.
We contacted Chris to replace our garage door. He was very responsive and knowledgeable, presenting us with various options to best suit our needs and style. He was flexible with scheduling an install date and efficiently replaced the old door with the new door and track within a few hours. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for garage door needs.
Chris is outstanding. Super knowledgeable, very responsive and an overall nice person. Our door wasn’t working, he came over and quickly diagnosed the issue. He put a temporary fix in place as he needed to order replacement springs He stayed in contact with us to let us know when he’d be back. He installed the parts, checked the hinges, rollers etc… The door is quiet and working better than new. Highly recommend him!
Excellent service. Chris fixed both of my doors so fast and at a reasonable price. They work perfectly now! I highly recommend Elm City Garage Doors.
I have a two car garage underneath a living space. The garage doors were so loud and shaky that we tried not to use them. Luckily, we saw his business card at a local business. We called him and he couldn’t come over that day but the next day, he came right over around the early afternoon. From the moment he got out of the truck, He was extremely polite and professional. Within 45 minutes, he had our doors sounding brand new and on top of that, it was a lot cheaper than we thought it would be! I would highly recommend him to anyone that has any garage door issues!
