Eighty-one reviews in six months, and one of them is a complaint about a lawn sign. That is roughly the shape of Emerald Acres: a high-volume Maynard lawn, tree and pest-control outfit whose customers write in constantly, almost always to say the technician did the job properly. The work is applications rather than landscaping in the mow-and-plant sense. Reviewers describe fertilizer and pre-emergent programmes, crabgrass prevention, weed applications, aeration, tick and mosquito spraying around yards, perimeters and up into trees, and tree work — one customer in May 2026 wrote that the company had been spraying their spruces against needle-drop fungus for years and the trees look beautiful. BBB lists the same mix: lawn maintenance, fertilization and pesticide applications for lawns and trees, and pest control. What sets the reviews apart is how often they name the individual who turned up — Evan, Denis, Igor, Donald, Corey, Steve, Savannah, Marcell — and what he did about the details. A June 2026 customer noted the technician moved a garden hose they had left out and used a blower to push stray granules off the driveway. Another the same month said the walkways were left clean with fertilizer only on the lawn. Others credit crews for avoiding porch furniture, keeping chemicals away from a fish pond, waiting for the mowing crew to finish before spreading, and explaining how long to keep pets off the grass. Several customers say they have been on the programme for five, eight, even twenty years; one wrote in June 2026 that the company had been servicing them for almost two decades and thanked "Terry and crew". The scale of the record is the thing to weigh: 4.9 across 315 Google ratings with 184 written reviews, and BBB grades the business A+. The one recent sour note is small but specific — a long-standing customer, writing in June 2026, gave two stars because the company keeps leaving a small lawn sign after each visit despite repeated phone calls asking it not to. If you want a scheduled treatment programme — fertilizer, weeds, ticks and mosquitoes, tree and shrub care — this is a heavily-reviewed and consistent option, and the crews clearly get told to clean up after themselves. Ask up front about lawn signs and about re-entry times for children and pets, and confirm which specific applications your programme includes.
Evan did a great job a d was very professional.
Evan did a great job with the tick and mosquito spray. He avoided the garden and got the yard and perimeter and trees really well.
The guy was awesome. I haven't been around every time. People have come to the house to spray for the mosquitoes, but this guy was on it. He used that blaster to spray up into the trees all around the property. I was impressed and thankful.
We’ve been using Emerald Acres for our lawn care for over 5 years now Their service and follow up has been amazing. Highly recommend.
Whenever I call them to come, take a look at something they come right out and give their opinion on what's needed.
