Express Landscaping

Two patios, three walkways, and a neglected corner of the yard cleared out — that was one Thumbtack customer's running tally in a 2023 review, after years of hiring Express Landscaping for one thing after another. It is a fair picture of the Lynn company: it arrives as the crew that trims and cleans up, and ends up building the patio. Its own site lists landscape design, construction and maintenance alongside tree, fence, masonry, paving and deck work around Lynn, and Thumbtack's profile puts it at 11 years in business. Edgar, named as the owner in a 2023 review, turns up by name in accounts from 2023 through 2026. The recent work is steady. In September 2026 a Google reviewer called Edgar and his crew hardworking and communicative. In April 2026 a Thumbtack customer with a large project said the team took the time to listen to what they wanted and walked them through the plan step by step. A May 2025 customer had prepping, new sod and two planted trees finished in two days; when a few small patches of sod did not take, the crew came back to replace them. The older accounts cover more ground. A 2024 reviewer singled out a patio and the stairs built with it; another that spring had edging, mulch, loam, fertilizer and seed done as discussed. In a 2024 Google review, a homeowner working to a tight hardscape budget said the landscaper found a way through it, having already reshaped the front bushes and two flower beds. A 2020 Angi reviewer had poison ivy taken off two trees with a return trip booked two weeks out to spray regrowth; another that summer arranged an acre of lawn mowed for an elderly parent they lived too far away to help. Two things are worth raising up front. A June 2026 Thumbtack reviewer who liked the spring clean-up asked for dark brown mulch and got regular brown, and said a replacement arborvitae they had brought back was not planted correctly. And on price, reviewers split: several in 2020 called the rates competitive, fair or reasonable, while one December 2020 reviewer's entire verdict was a single word — "Expensive." One more that is not about the landscaping at all: a July 2023 Google reviewer described the company's truck and trailer pulling into the oncoming lane in Wenham to get around a parked truck instead of slowing, forcing them to brake hard. For weekly mowing, a spring or fall clean-up, or a patio and walkway built by the same crew that keeps the yard afterwards, this is a sensible call in Lynn and the towns nearby. Put the details that matter to you — mulch color, where each plant goes, the price — in the written proposal.
