Grounds of Nature works out of Lynn, doing lawn care, landscape design and installation, and hardscape and masonry — patios, walkways, retaining walls — for homes and businesses. The company says it has over 13 years of experience. Customers name Gumer, who owns the company, in nearly every account, and several have kept him on for years. Speed comes up constantly. A June 2025 customer texted on a Thursday asking for mulch and had the job done the next day. Another that month, selling their house, needed someone fast and had the crew there within two days. A July 2025 customer had a whole project finished in two days at a price they called competitive, and an April 2026 customer had a spring cleanup done quickly with everything tidied at the end. The hardscape work goes well beyond mowing and mulching. In a January 2026 review, a customer widened their driveway by shortening the adjacent retaining wall and fence, then had a new walkway laid alongside it. An October 2024 customer had two large trees felled, shrubs and lawn stripped from the front yard, a retaining wall built, the lawn reseeded, an old pebble patio pulled out and a new patio installed. A November 2024 customer had a patio and walkway replaced and expanded, with Gumer pointing out the structural problems and offering options. In an April 2026 review, a stone retaining wall a snow plow had damaged was visited promptly after the call. The repeated complaint is about getting them out for an estimate. An October 2025 customer set three appointments for an in-person quote and had three no-shows. A May 2024 customer, happy with a 2022 leaf removal, said the company no-showed for a quote in the autumn and again for a spring cleanup. And a May 2025 customer waited past a 6pm appointment, then got an apologetic call that did not seem to recall the arrangement.
