In an October 2021 Google review, a homeowner described a chain-link fence repair that never got started: Scott had agreed to replace a top rail, but no one arrived on the promised morning. The customer said subsequent calls and texts went unanswered for days. Fences By Mass Walls is based in Bellingham, where HomeAdvisor lists wood and vinyl fence installation and repair, along with chain-link repairs. Customers writing on Angi in 2018–2021 described fence repairs, completed jobs and prices they considered fair. In July 2020, a homeowner whose fence had been damaged by a fallen tree said Scott visited to estimate the repair, completed it within the promised few weeks and finished the work quickly. An April 2019 customer said Scott quoted a fair price and initially offered to do the work in a few weeks, then completed it a week later when time became available. A customer writing in April 2020 described tree roots interfering with the original plan. Scott found a workaround, and the final price was below the quote. In June 2020, another customer praised Mass Walls for returning the initial contact immediately, arriving as promised and completing the job at a price the customer liked. A May 2020 reviewer said the repairs were completed within the specified time and the site was cleaned up afterward. In January 2021, a customer said Scott performed the fencing job described in his quote and recommended him for further fencing work. Angi shows a 4.8-star rating from 34 ratings. The work customers described also included power washing. In November 2018, a homeowner said Scott washed one side of the house and secured shingles so the home could be insured again. An October 2018 reviewer described a frost-related change to the arrival time, a call explaining that change and work continuing until dark; the customer also noted missed spots near the chimney. An April 2019 fence-repair customer said the job was completed on time but wanted more updates about the arrival of repair materials and how the schedule was progressing.
I called and spoke to Scott about repairing a small part of our chain link fence. Only need a top rail installed and were planning to use the existing links. Scott said they would be out the week of the 17th of October. I reached out as it got closer to confirm a day during that week and He said they would be out during the morning on the 19th. The morning of the 19th came and went and no one showed up. I texted and called Scott and got absolutely no response for days. Still no response from him. If you didn't want to do the job you could have just told me so that I could have looked for someone else. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend Mass Walls to anyone.
He came and did what we agreed upon. Scott is very easy to work with
