A new Crown boiler delivered, set up and running in less than a day, with the basement left clean: that was a September 2026 Google review of Fielding's Oil & Propane, which said the two young men who did the job were polite and never wasted a second. The Windham fuel company delivers heating oil and propane, says it has been in business 53 years, and advertises 24/7 emergency service. A Press Herald article names Bill Fielding as president of the Scarborough-based company, and a centralmaine.com listing names it a winner for Best Home Heating Fuel and Supplies. Google shows 4.9 stars from 203 ratings. An August 2026 reviewer says their oil arrives within 2-3 days of ordering, and a July 2026 customer of many years lists quick service, fair prices, senior discounts and a 30-day payment system. On Reddit, a January 2026 commenter said they have had no issue with delivery, and an April 2025 commenter called the customer service top notch and the company very reliable on autofill, while noting it usually isn't the cheapest price per gallon. A December 2025 commenter said Fielding's gave a 5 to 10 day window, as several other dealers did. The BBB grade is D-, with 5 complaints on file, and undated BBB reviews raise complaints about service work, a delivery and budget-plan billing. On Reddit, a January 2025 commenter called Fielding's, Dead River and Downeast the biggest scams around, and another commenter in that thread said the company will charge a lot more for an emergency visit.

I've been receiving services from Fielding's for many years now, and I have found them to be very helpful in many ways, quick service, k delivery, fair prices, senior discounts, 30-day payment system, and helping me to problem solve. I wouldn't trade them for any other company. At my age, it's important to feel secure in one's home, especially in winter in Maine. 'I'm extremely satisfied with Fielding's Oil and Propane Company.
They are such a great company all around. Great delivery &office help.with payment.s.
Had a delivery scheduled which never showed up. Received a phone call the next morning and was immediately asked how much oil I had left in my tank, which was almost on empty.
