Flooring Designs is a Brockton showroom with its own installers — family-owned since 2001, eight employees, stock running from hardwood and laminate through tile, stone, luxury vinyl plank and carpet. Most customers describe the same straightforward sequence: choose material in the shop, the crew arrives when promised, the floor goes in clean. A December 2025 customer had a tweed carpet fitted on a stairway and said the work was quick and clean and both started and finished on time. The showroom side gets named person by person. A May 2022 Angi reviewer walked through the whole chain — Lisa on customer service, Chris consulting on flooring types, colours and selection and sketching out the room measurements, then installers Mike, Ritchie and a third man. A February 2022 customer praised the size of the selection and said that even in a difficult market the carpet went in quickly and at a good price. In November 2023 a contractor doing commercial work said they had dealt with Flooring Designs for many years. Two accounts go the other way, and both come down to seams. In August 2022 a customer said the crew smoked in the house and taunted their dog, that two months later the luxury vinyl flooring was cracking and showing seams, and that the owner took no responsibility and called them a liar. In January 2023 another said the salesman turned up without samples, leaving them to go to the showroom and match their own wood floors; they were promised a seamless carpet, did not get one, and were left with a $5,700 floor they could not live with. Those two sit inside a 4.6 average across 37 Google ratings, so they are not the usual outcome — but it is the same failure twice, and how the second one was answered is the part to weigh. The Better Business Bureau lists the business as not accredited and Not Rated. This is a sensible call for carpet, luxury vinyl plank or laminate when you want to see and feel the material before buying and have one company both sell and fit it. Before signing, get the seam layout drawn onto the room sketch and agreed in writing, ask what happens if a seam opens or lifts in the first year, and get that answer into the contract.
