Forbes Fuel Oil delivers home heating oil and propane. A 2025 customer said their oil ran out and stalled the furnace; an order placed at 10AM on a Sunday arrived by 11:30AM the same day, and the driver helped bleed the system to get the furnace going again free of charge. The company's website lists 24/7 emergency service and says it has 15 years in business. A 2026 customer said the price of oil shot up after an order placed on a Monday for a Wednesday shipment, and Forbes honored the price from the time of order. A 2026 customer who ran out of oil on a Saturday said the woman on the phone got the truck there that same Saturday. A 2025 customer said the company came out immediately after they ran out of propane, and that they had since moved to automatic delivery. A 2024 customer said the company installed two propane tanks the customer had purchased and offered a payment plan. On Reddit's r/Connecticut, a commenter wrote in 2026 that Forbes fuel was the cheapest in their last several fills. A 2026 commenter who had just used Forbes said they ordered for a Monday delivery and the oil came on Saturday instead. A recent Google reviewer wrote that the company had not fixed the reviewer's daughter's car, said a video showed a company employee did not do his job properly, and said OSHA and USDOT had been notified. A recent reviewer wrote that they damaged property and would not take accountability. A 2024 customer called the staff rude, said a delivery came with no receipt, and said the price quoted by phone ran higher than the online price. A 2024 customer said their two-year-old furnace began running poorly and rumbling loudly after a first 100-gallon order, suspected the fuel, and wrote they would not order from Forbes again. A 2023 customer said a delivery left over 77 gallons of water in the tank and stopped the boiler for days, and alleged the oil was delivered mixed with water.

Y'all really need to be following set OSHA protocols and take accountability and responsibility when YOUR staff does not.
As a teamster I know the way things are supposed to work. Bad business to not fix my daughters car. I saw the video, your employee didn't do his job properly which ultimately caused this. Police officer directs traffic not paying attention two cars collide who is at fault? Do the right thing. OSHA and USDOT notified and she received emails from both stating that's a violation. We would like to keep this out of court but have the documents to prove your fault due to negligence if needed. Do the right thing!
