Franklin Cruz Construction is a Winthrop, Massachusetts general contractor. Its three written reviews, from 2015 to 2020, describe a consistent problem: schedules that ran far longer than promised, and finishes and cleanup described as sloppy. In a November 2020 review, a customer called the crew unreliable, said there wasn't enough manpower to clear materials from the site, and described the job sitting half-finished for two months. A 2018 review, describing a 2016 job, said Cruz made changes without consulting the homeowner and that a four-week project took almost five months. An earlier, 2015 review described low-skilled helpers who made frequent mistakes and showed little care for the property, though the same reviewer said Cruz does good work when he's focused. Horrible, unreliable! Made a mess of my property. They have no manpower to pick up materials or remove old ones. Left job half-finished for 2 months! You get what you pay for. I wish I had read these reviews above they are the truth!
Stay away. In 2016 we also had issues with him not following the details on the plans and making decisions about changes without consulting us. Agreed that finishes are sloppy and his “employees” have no respect for your property. 4 week project took almost 5 months. Took forever (and threats of a lawsuit) to get him to come back and fix a failing roof a year later. Other issues that we will have to pay out of pocket to remedy. So bad. Wish we’d gone with the higher quote- would have saved headache, time and probably money in the long run.
Horrible!!! Unreliable. Franklin hires low quality, unskilled helpers that have no respect for your property and the quality of the work that they do. Many many mistakes made that had to be fixed. I would never recommend this guy. Franklin does good work when he is focused but he made decisions without consulting the customer and didn't pay attention to blueprint details which led to unnecessary rework. Not to mention it took forever to get things done!
