In a 2023 review, a customer said Dennis Fredo laid out a multi-step plan for their yard across spring, summer and fall, and that his prices were the most reasonable of the landscapers who quoted. They wrote that emails went unanswered, phone messages got no callbacks, and the line sometimes said "Voice mailbox full". A 2023 customer said it did a good job with the mulch but called the service overpriced and hard to contact after the job. In a 2022 review, a customer who paid Dennis in advance in cash said workers drove over raised stone walks and damaged them, and that Dennis kept the balance of the $2000 cash payment and never returned calls. A 2023 customer said they did the work on short notice.
They did a great job on short notice!
I am not normally one to leave a Google review however I feel I have a duty to warn potential customers. At first I was impressed by Dennis Fredo's landscaping knowledge and he laid out a great multi-step plan for my yard with different aspects of the project planned for spring, summer, and fall. I also appreciated that he was not pushy in having me complete everything all at once. In comparison to other landscapers from which I received quotes, Dennis' prices were the most reasonable. The first step of our project involved removing copious amounts of poison ivy from the property. The work was delivered later than stated date and progress on removal was slow. We had also discussed several other projects which were to be completed in the short term that were not completed. The worst aspect of our experience with this company has been a lack of responsiveness and communication. I sent multiple emails following up on the status of the discussed projects but never received any replies. I also would call frequently and leave messages but never got any callbacks. Often times when calling the line would say "Voice mailbox full" an no messages could be left. I did seem to be on some schedule for having the routine mowing performed on my lawn. Each time Dennis' workers would come for mowing I would flag them down to tell them I cannot reach Dennis, but even his workers stated they could not get in contact with him. I will be terminating any and all future services with Fredo Landscaping from this point on and highly recommended that you avoid this company at all costs.
Did a good job with the mulch, however Horrible customer service & definitely overpriced. Good luck trying to contact them once they finish the job.
I for sure would never use this company for any of my landscaping needs because of an encounter on the road. Today, December 6th, 2022 at approximately 8:25 a.m. I was driving behind one of their trucks on the I-91 South H.O.V lane and the driver kept slowing down and suddenly braking (we were a car distance apart) as if she wanted to be rear ended. My speedometer put me at 44 mph in a 65 mph and no traffic ahead of the Fredo truck. I had to make a decision because I couldn’t slow down anymore as traffic was heavily building behind me and I feared someone running into me. I went around the Fredo truck at one of the H.O.V entrances when it was safe. The huge, dirty blonde, sloppiness of a female who was the driver thought that it was funny because she looked at me and laughed. I looked behind a short while after and two others followed suite. I flipped her off. Large Marge and Fredo Landscaping need to do better. That isn’t a good move to represent a company like that in a company marked vehicle. Its sad I live in the area of this company and will not use them because of this.
I paid Dennis in advance for his service for year in cash . I’m not a difficult or demanding customer whatsoever. On a couple of occasions I observed his workers driving over my raised stone walks which were expensive. At high speed these were damaged and he agreed to coach guys to stay off. I also asked guys and tipped them on several occasions for being careful. A new employee was observed driving heavy equipment over walks damaging the stone. I asked the guys to not return and have Dennis call me. Dennis never called , never returned calls and dropped me off his Facebook page . Dennis kept the balance of my $2000 cash payment for service. Very disappointed. Chuck Hooper East Granby
