Gardening With Jenny is a one-designer garden operation in Cambridge, Massachusetts: owner Eugenia Tzonevska, who works beds, borders and yards with an assistant rather than a crew. The Better Business Bureau puts the business at 49 Churchill Ave with 15 years behind it and an A+ grade, though it is not BBB accredited. Design and planting is what her clients describe. A May 2021 Angi reviewer said she designed a front and backyard and, with her assistant, handled the design, cleaning and planting of a yard that had been damaged during construction work on the house, calling the two of them efficient, professional and thorough. In an April 2024 Google review, a homeowner who had used her as their landscaper for years praised her communication throughout the process. A 2018 Angi client described Jenny and her assistant as polite and professional, and the job as thorough. Three of the six reviews run the other way. On the same day in May 2021 as that positive review, another Angi customer rated the work half a star: "Not worth the money I spent!" For a designed planting — beds laid out, plants chosen, a yard put back together after construction — this is a small, hands-on operation with the owner on site. Get the plant list and the full price in writing before work starts, including what happens if there is more debris or more planting than the quote assumed.

Jenny has been my landscaper for years and I cannot recommend her enough. She is highly professional and knowledgeable about gardening. She has made our look so beautiful over the years and her communication throughout the process is great. She also provides a very fair price for her high quality work. Highly recommend.
Not worth the money I spent!
Jenny designed a beautiful front and backyard for our house last year. She and her assistant did a fantastic job with the design, cleaning and planting of a yard that had been damaged after construction work on the house. They are very efficient, professional and thorough. The project was done within budget and timely. Jenny is friendly and always promptly at answering questions and sharing her knowledge of plants. We have hired her to maintain the yard which is thriving a year after planting. The maintenance work is as meticulous as the design and planting project. We highly recommend Jenny and her team.
Jenny & her assistant were very polite & professional. They did a very thorough job even though the price she quoted was less than it should have been per her explanation once she got into the job. There was more yard waste debris than she had calculated initially. Due to the distance between her residence & mine, she will be unable to return for any other projects as the commuting time negated her profit. Other than the distance issue, I would strongly recommend Gardening with Jenny.
Jenny and I first communicated by phone and then email, where she sent me photos of flowering plants that she recommended for our back yard beds. We negotiated a price, she then came with a helper and he dug and planted while she oversaw the planting. The whole job took about 40 min. and cost $1200 for plants that never really bloomed properly. They continued to look sickly and/or damaged the first few weeks. I called her and she did come over, but she said they were fine. I also told her they didn't look like the photo she showed me, but she said they would. The summer went on, I took care of them (watering and pruning as directed), but nothing changed. I really feel I got ripped off.
