A 2025 customer said the crew arrived on time, explained exactly what they were going to do, painted a home office and living/dining room and hung the artwork back exactly right. A 2019 customer said they forgot to ask the workers not to paint the bulkhead doors, and the company was able to fix it. A 2022 customer wrote that the company did not have them pay until the job was completed. A 2025 customer said a consultation was canceled at 8:45am on the day it was set, because they lived too far away, after they had taken the day off work. A 2025 customer in Wilton said the house painting was good, but cold weather left the deck and garage painting unfinished, and two weeks of calls and emails about the remaining work went unanswered. The lakehouse customer in 2025 also found it a little hard to communicate with the painters, who spoke Portuguese, and said they were not as careful around fragile plants as hoped.
They did a good job painting my home in Wilton in early November and we all quickly realized they needed to do a bit of touch up work when the weather warmed up. Because of the cold weather, they also weren’t able to finish the scope of work of our deck and garage painting. I’ve been trying to contact them over the past 2 weeks via phone and email and no one has responded - and I was assured I would be contacted the week of 4/16 to schedule the additional work. My new deck is now sitting untreated with the crazy rainy weather. I’d give them a 5 for the paint job, and a 1 for our recent customer service experience.
Our house looks gorgeous thanks to General Painting. They are Honest , reliable, and offer a fair price for their work.They offered a detailed inspection of their work with us, and stand behind and provide touch ups where we requested. We were impressed with how hard working their crew is. I highly recommend General Painting! I wouldn’t go anywhere else !
A consultation was verified by Cassandra last Friday. I took today off from work. The consultation was scheduled for today at 10am. I received a call at 8:45am canceling the appointment because they said I live too far away. They should have told me this before making the appointment. They new where I lived. I took the day off for nothing. I think that was rather rude of them.
I was very pleased with the service they provided. The crew arrived on time, explained exactly what they were going to do, were very polite and did a great job painting my home office and living/dining room. They left everything exactly as it was prior, hung back all the artwork exactly right etc. Cassandra who works in the main office is also great - excellent customer service and responsiveness. Their pricing was also fair, especially given the quality of their work. Overall, I'd highly recommend their painting services.
General painting turned our boring brown lakehouse into a beauty on the water with the gorgeous sherwin Williams colors we chose in vinyl safe paint. I cannot express in words how meticulous every detail was and if we weren’t satisfied, they fixed it. A little hard to communicate with the painters themselves (spoke portugese) and they weren’t as careful around my fragile plants as I had hoped. I'm hoping those plants come back next year. But if you’re even thinking about painting your vinyl siding, call no one else! The price was better than the other 3 I called & Reneto explained their process in detail & even gave us his opinion when we didn’t know which color to use on certain parts of the house. They also finished before our deadline. Do yourself a favor & call them first!
