Gerard Asphalt is a paving company that describes itself as providing residential and commercial asphalt services throughout Southern and Central Maine; its website lists a service area running from Kittery and York to Portland, Freeport and Bridgton. On HomeAdvisor the company says it started in May 2011 and runs between one and ten employees depending on the size of the job. A recent Google customer who had these guys do a driveway said workers were yelling, cussing and smoking weed, and left garbage all over when they left. That customer said Darren never called back after payment was issued. A 2019 HomeAdvisor customer said the parking area job was left messy, with sandy pockets and streaks of sand. That 2019 customer wrote that two months of calls got no response and that parking on the surface left tire treads that would not go away. The same 2019 customer said the job cost $3,500 for an area for three cars.
I had these guys do a driveway for me. To my surprise, workers were yelling/cussing and smoking weed, and when they left, they left garbage all over. I called Darren to sort things out after payment was issued, and he never called me back. If you value money and professionalism, go with someone else.
He showed one day knocking on the door promising a great parking area. When he and his team left after being paid, he left a messy job filled with sandy pockets and streaks of sand. For two months we tried to call him. No response. We tried parking on it and it left big tire treads that won’t go away. Avoid this man. He may knock on your door. Go to a reputable paver. This cost me $3500. for an area for 3 cars. As a senior citizen, I trusted his hype. Never again.
