The work people call GLM Home Services for is carpenter's work — doors, trim and crown moulding, built-ins, decks, and the patching that finishes a room. In a 2023 review, a customer described a square hole cut in their basement ceiling to route a radon pipe out, patched so seamlessly the ceiling looked brand-new. Gustavo Munhoz — Gus to most of the people who write about him — runs the company out of Lynn, Massachusetts. The Better Business Bureau grades it A+, puts it at three years in business and lists a Massachusetts BBRS license, #207606. On Thumbtack it holds a 4.3 average across 105 ratings with 271 projects shown, is listed as background checked, and says it works a New England-wide area reaching Lincoln, New Hampshire and Maine; Angi and HomeAdvisor both note Se habla español. The most detailed praise is for finish work. An April 2023 customer listed built-ins, stairs, a microwave set into an existing kitchen island and patio doors replaced with French doors — a builder-grade house turned custom over a run of jobs. In June 2024 another had a closet expanded to take a new electrical panel, with a new door built and fitted and the cracks patched, and called the price more than fair for the quality; a June 2025 customer said the crew came on short notice, finished in two days and left the house clean at the end of each one. Scheduling is the thing to pin down. A May 2024 Google reviewer was eight weeks into a three-week project and still waiting for the final cabinet doors, with excuse after excuse about why the crew couldn't come when they said they would; that homeowner later added that Gus had called and apologized. Angi carries a closely matching May 2024 account — eight weeks in, waiting for Gus to return and finish, told at week four that the ordered doors had come in the wrong size and then that they were at his painter's. A February 2024 reviewer was charged three hours of labor for a job that took less than an hour and says the three-hour minimum was never mentioned, and in August 2026 a repeat customer wrote that a railing the company had installed on their outside back stairs pulled away on one side; they contacted Gustavo about it. For doors, trim, built-ins and a punch list you want done neatly, this is a sensible call. Before booking, get the completion date and the labor minimum in writing, ask who orders any doors or cabinetry and what happens if they arrive the wrong size, and settle how callbacks on finished work are handled — HomeAdvisor's profile states the company offers no warranties.
We have used Gustavos company in the past and by and large were satisfied. Would really like to give a better rating however one of the jobs they did was installing railings on our outside back stairs. The railing recently pulled away on one side and we contacted Gustavo who repeatedly gave us a day and time to have someone fix it, it is not a safe situation. We finally texted him not to bother, we would find another company to help us. That was 6 weeks ago and still nothing from him. His company is obviously thriving but be careful before hiring him and his crew. He certainly shows he has no regard for taking care of his old loyal customers.
Gustavo and his crew provided excellent work and excellent service. Communication was always prompt and thorough. They showed up when they said they would, on time and with everything they needed. They went the extra mile to make sure everything I needed to get done, was done and even picked extra things up for me! I will definitely be using GLM more in the future!…
VERY HAPPY with the work GLM HOME SERVICES CORP did in my house. They came on short notice and completed the job in two days. Each day after they left, the house was left clean. They were on time and worked the whole time they were here. I felt like I got my moneys worth and some. The place looks amazing. I would definitely recommend them for any paint job you need done. Here are some before and after pictures.…
Great job
I had a closet that needed to be expanded to fit a new electrical panel. Gustavo and his team did a great job customizing and installing a new door as well as patching up all the cracks and breaks. The price was more than fair for the quality of work. He was always quick to reply to my messages and kept in me the loop every step of the way. I definitely recommend GLM for your next project!
