Unprofessional and unreliable. Hired them to switch my heater system from oil to natural gas. Spent about $9000 on the job. Deposit half and didnt have the job done till months later because they kept rescheduling on me. Paid the other half on the day of the installation. Days after the installation, my heater didn't work. We had no heat during the cold winter. Gil Rodrigue came to check and said there is something wrong with the part and he is ordering the new part for me. After that, he completely disappeared. He didn't return any of my calls or messages after that. After months of trying to call and text, I sent email to the company's email. He finally responded to my email that the company "permanently shut down". I responded to his email asking if he could change the part for me since he said he had already ordered it months ago or give me reimbursement for me to hire a different company to fix the issue if they are "permanently shut down" as they said. The contract said I have 5 years of labor and part warranty and 2 years of free maintenance, but they do not honor the contract. They completely ghosted me. I ended up hiring a different company, JLemos Heating and Air Conditioning, to fix the issue. The new company checked and said that the system was installed incorrectly. The new company fixed the installation within the same day without the need to order any part like Gil Rodrigue said.

Beware Gil Rodrigue of GMR Mechanical (or any other company he forms in the future) of 9 Muse Terrace, Salem, NH 03079. After installing a whole house Daikin mini-splits system in late 2022, Gil became elusive and hard to pin down when the system broke down just weeks after installation. Half the system was unusable for weeks in the dead of winter until he finally came out to get it up again, but it still didn’t run right with one head overheating a room and another not heating enough. Flash forward to summer heat, and the system was shutting down with error codes again in AC mode. I chased Gil for over three weeks during which he repeatedly failed to respond, schedule service, give me a reasonable date/time or timeframe by which service might be scheduled, show up when service was scheduled or stay long enough to perform the necessary repairs to properly and effectively address the issues. We finally had to contract another HVAC service, when it was clear Gil would not return to honor his “One year installation warranty”, paying them over $2,300 to diagnose and finally fix the issues that turned out to be a botched installation with cross-wired heads. Also, don’t believe the dishonest responses to this review, as seen with other negative reviews, claiming I’m not a customer, that I’m a disgruntled former employee or other such nonsense, I have the receipts! Run away from Gil Rodrigue!

GMR mechanical is the most reliable and trustworthy company I’ve had services from. Great communication and will come out at any time or day, especially if you have an emergency. Also great prices 👍🏼 Hands down the best company around.

Gil was very professional and he took a lot of pride in his work. He did not take any corner when faced with problems and he made sure everything was done correctly and to code. Gil gave a reasonable quote after inspecting our old system to replace with a new heat pump. Installation were delayed due to personal issues but when we really needed heating once the temperature were dropping, he made it his priority to finish it. During installation there were issues with the old duct work which made the work more difficult. He didn't upcharge us at all to fix it. We very much appreciated in working with him and would gladly repeat doing business.

Do NOT do business with Gill Rodrigue d.b.a. GMR Mechanical Services because they are UNRELIABLE. They install inferior equipment that does not do the job, they perform sloppy work and do not follow up on maintenance or warranty calls as per sales contract. Calls or email communications go un-answered. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
