Golden Key Construction is a small Framingham general contractor that calls itself a family-owned business serving Eastern Massachusetts, with Clayton Ferraz out front and a named in-house crew behind him covering electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting. The work it lists is the everyday remodeling range: kitchens, bathrooms and basements, home additions, decks and porches, plus construction project management and new builds. Its directory profiles add interior painting and summer exterior painting. It also says it speaks Spanish and Portuguese, which matters if that is your household's first language. What you cannot do yet is check any of it. Its Angi and HomeAdvisor pages are both flagged as new with no reviews on either, and those same pages disagree with themselves about how long the company has been working: the profile field says eight years, the blurb next to it says ten. So this is a contractor to interview rather than one you can look up. Ask for the addresses of finished kitchens and bathrooms, for references from the past year, and for the company's Massachusetts registration number so you can check it against the state yourself before any money changes hands.
