A 2026 customer in Thornton, NH wrote that the company did an on-site inspection with a drone map and followed up that night with a detailed proposal. That 2026 customer said a modification needed because of unexpected roof structures was sorted and the panel layout modified in three hours with no extra cost. A 2025 customer said Tim F. met with the town building inspector and was able to quote more panels on the roof than other companies. A 2025 customer said the company expedited all the permits and finished on the agreed schedule, before the federal tax rebate expired. A 2023 customer said the company put up 48 panels in 2 days, dug the cable trench after first searching the area for underground wires, and replaced bricks on a walkway. A 2023 customer objected that it costs $2,000 more to pay with financing. A 2026 Reddit commenter said everything was great until they needed a new roof and contacted the company about taking down the panels.

The generator installation and operational test were just successfully completed. Great so far. I'm not wishing for bad weather but I am anticipating its first real use. I'll keep you posted. Great job!

When looking into having a home solar and battery backup system installed, we researched many companies through the internet, made use of Energy Sage, constructed a comparison spreadsheet (equipment costs, warranties, output ratings, etc.) and invited the two top companies to visit our home and make a presentation. We found the Granite State Solar team to make the best proposal as they thoroughly answered all our questions, used quality technology, and were reasonably priced – not the least expensive nor the most expensive. We decided on a 24 panel array with the Enphase IQ8MC microinverters with a FranklinWH aGate and 15 kwh aPower2 battery backup. Our system was installed in early April and through July 31st is averaging close to 1 megawatt hour of production (there is early morning and late afternoon shade). We coordinated the installation with Andy, Amy, Raenor, and Maggie all of whom were very helpful in answering questions as they came up and greatly helped with interacting with Eversource. In addition to Net-Metering, Eversource is also paying us to access the energy stored in the battery between June and the first of September, which reduces the time to achieve the break-even point. I highly recommend getting a battery back-up and in the future I probably will add a second battery as the technology improves and the prices come down. The installation team and the electricians were fabulous, in that they were friendly, efficient, good workmanship, and were willing to answer many of the questions I had and left the work-site spotless. It’s several months later and I recall Kyle(?) but wish I remembered everyone’s name to give them a shout-out. Everyone was extremely professional and they were excited for us. It was to our benefit to have individual microinverters as we were able to recognize and pinpoint a problem with a couple of underperforming panels some of which were corrected remotely (microinverters) and some (defective panels – rare but it can happen) of which were replaced very quickly by Granite State Solar. We are very pleased with our system, and we are investing in reducing our reliance on oil heat to take better advantage of the energy generated by the Sun. If you are considering going solar and/or installing a battery back-up system I highly recommend talking with the Granite State Solar team. I have already recommended them to several people and will continue to do so.
