Grasso Companies paves driveways, among other site work. A recent customer with a puddling problem on an older driveway said Grasso offered a few options, scheduled quickly and coordinated with a contractor installing underground gutter drains, and that after the first rain things drained normally. The company describes itself as a residential and commercial asphalt paving and driveway outfit that also does masonry and site excavation, and says it has been in business 35 years. Its website lists a service area that includes Fairfield, Easton, Norwalk, Stamford, Westport and Greenwich. It holds an A+ grade on BBB and 4 stars from 27 Google ratings. A 2025 customer said Grasso removed an old driveway and installed a new one. A 2023 customer said the old driveway was removed and rebuilt from the foundation up, and that water runoff was handled more efficiently over the winter. A 2023 customer said Grasso helped repair and add a curb to a driveway and got the small job done quickly. A recent reviewer wrote that Grasso had been working in their neighborhood since the first week of September to replace a sidewalk and street, with the work not due to finish until the end of October, and that some retaining walls in the neighborhood had been damaged. A 2024 reviewer said the company stored equipment on their lawn while doing sidewalk in Darien and did not call back after multiple voice messages about damage. A 2025 reviewer said one of the company's drivers scraped their car on the highway and kept driving. A stamfordadvocate.com report quoted a Stamford fire official saying Grasso Companies damaged a gas line while working in the area, and thehour.com reported that the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection issued a violation notice against Grasso Construction and affiliated companies over the continued absence of a protective berm on a property. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0635119, as active, held by The Grasso Companies LLC.

Grasso has been working on our neighborhood since the first week of September and they are still not completed and won’t be till the end of October. I can’t understand how it takes this long to replace a side walk and street. We have been inconvenienced for almost 2 months. Not being able to park on the street during the week has been an inconvenience for many of us. I’ve been planning on remodeling our home but can’t because we can’t have a dumpster on the street . I’ve lived in other towns and never seen work move this slow before. finish the work !!!!!! Why is it taken this long !!! On a side note some retaining walls in the neighborhood have been damaged. A pedestrian almost got hit by a mini excavator. I was thinking of getting a quote to do the driveway but I think I’ll call someone else.
We had a bad puddling issue on our older driveway which we wanted to replace. Grasso gave us a few different options and after we decided, they scheduled quickly. They also coordinated seamlessly with a contractor I had installing underground gutter drains. The work was done timely and professionally, the crew was diligent and precise with measurements, and after the first rain you could see things draining normally. We had an excellent experience with Grasso and highly recommend them.
I am writing review about a serious incident involving one of your drivers that occurred while I was driving on the highway. The driver scraped the side of my car and then left the scene without stopping, which is extremely unsafe and unprofessional behavior. There was active construction on the highway at the time. The left lane was closed, your driver’s pickup truck was in the middle lane, and the right lane was closing and merging into the middle lane. As I was safely changing from the right lane into the middle lane, your driver, who was behind me, accelerated instead of yielding, and his vehicle scraped my car door. Despite this contact, the driver did not stop or attempt to exchange information and continued driving.
