A 2024 customer of Gray Tile LLC had lived for almost four years with bare, mostly rotted subfloor at the front door and an adjacent closet before connecting with John. That 2024 customer said John came out when he said he would, got the flooring done in the timeframe he had given, and took the time to make a section of the existing floor square where it was not square before. The same 2024 customer called the work expensive but said it was entirely worth the money. A 2023 customer said Gray Tile renovated the tiling of their bathtub surround, and that John was on time, cleaned up after the job and finished on schedule. A 2022 customer said their kitchen tile work was done in the time originally quoted and that they would use the company again for future tile work.
In the last couple of years, 2022-2024, it has been extremely difficult to hire a contractor that 1) shows up and 2) shows up and does great work. It is typically one or the other and not both. I had John out to do a small section of flooring in our house that had been untouched for almost 4 years. Just bare, mostly rotted, subfloor at the front door and adjacent closet. Had given up on finding anyone for some time but was connected with John who came out when he said he would, got it done in the timeframe he had given, and did a great job. I think most notably, outside of the tile looking great on its own, is that he took the time to make a section of the existing floor square... where it was not square before. You could argue that this made his job easier and anyone can see that. But as a customer it was like "well, holy, thank you". All in all great work, friendly, and easy to have around the house. His work was expensive - but for the convenience of having a job well done and having him show up it was entirely worth the money. It's weird for us to walk on the area that was missing because it was missing for so long - tilting feet to account for the drop in level and I even found myself wanting to use the hardwood floor to scratch the bottom of my foot... but could not because the tile was there. That's how long we went without because no one would come to us and complete the project. Thank you for the job well done John!
We renovated our bathtub surround tiling when we moved in to our new home with Gray Tile a year ago and it is still looking just as amazing as when it was first installed! John did a really great job and we couldn’t be happier! He was on-time, friendly, cleaned up well after the job was done and finished on schedule!
Excellent work, great communication and super friendly. Our kitchen tile work was done beautifully, in the time that was originally quoted. We would absolutely use them again for future tile work!
