A recent customer whose discontinued casement windows were missing their sill covers, the parts that hide the opening mechanism and support the screens, said millwork shops rejected the job multiple times before Eric at Graywood CNC said, "sure, we can do this for you." That customer worked from the manufacturer's CAD designs, said Eric planned enough extra material for practice runs at the detailed cuts, and said the parts came sooner than originally anticipated at a reasonable price. Set beside the one window the original contractor did correctly, that customer wrote, "you cannot tell the difference." The company describes itself as offering custom design and CNC milling services, from slab flattening to custom prototyping to full-scale production in locally sourced hardwoods and softwoods. A recent customer had Eric make classical guitar bridges and said he was transparent about pricing and accurate with delivery and production times. A recent customer described several jobs going on with Eric at once as a smooth experience despite some challenging cuts. A recent customer called Eric's work precise, and a recent customer recommended Graywood for careful work.

In 2015 I had my kitchen renovated and casement windows installed. In the process of installing granite sills, the contractor misplaced the window sill covers that hide the opening mechanism and support the screens. Life got in the way and, by the time I got around to trying to deal with this myself, the windows had been discontinued and the parts were no longer available. The window manufacturer sent me the CAD designs so I could call around to places that do millwork. I was rejected multiple times because this was not an easy job, would require new knives to be installed to their equipment, etc. I met with Eric to talk this through and his reaction was, "sure, we can do this for you." Then he came up with a plan to give me enough extra material to handle my anticipated mistakes during installation. I used this extra material to take practice runs at scribing the very detailed cuts (tried jig saw then ultimately used a multitool) then set to work installing and painting. After 10 years of looking at unfinished windows, our renovation is finally done! I had one window that the contractor did correctly and, when you compare that to Graywood's work, you cannot tell the difference. I cannot say enough good things about Eric Gray and Graywood CNC. He gave me a reasonable price and was able to deliver the parts sooner than originally anticipated. He also gave me a very interesting tour of the shop, showing me their current projects highlighting some of their capabilities. If you need custom wood work, I highly recommend Graywood CNC.
Such a pleasure working with Eric. He is super professional, friendly and easy to communicate with. Very transparent about pricing and accurate with delivery/production times. And the finished product (classical guitar bridges in my case) is perfect. Highly recommend!
Had several jobs going on with Eric, smoothest experience ever despite some challenging cuts. Quick to answer any concern, flexible schedule, transparent pricing, no jobs too small or too big.
Eric's work and craftsmanship was precise, immaculate and of the highest quality, a testament to his training and experience. The true joy is his ability to understand your vision by listening and engulfing himself in the art of digging into your story to better understand you and the personal relationship you have to the project, which in turn, allows his creativity to peak his performance and ultimately, your satisfaction.
Eric is really good at what he does. If you need careful work done, Graywood is the place to go. I recommend them highly! And they are really nice people.
