Highlights
- A kitchen renovation — cabinets, flooring, a wall and foundation extension in one job
- Lasting work — a customer says the kitchen held up five years on
- Small jobs too — a customer says they fixed a bent storm door
Dovetail Custom Builders is a builder and remodeler whose website lists its service area as Scarborough, Cape Elizabeth, Portland, Falmouth, Cumberland, Yarmouth and Freeport. Wil and the Dovetail team renovated one customer's kitchen, building out custom cabinets, installing flooring, and extending a wall and the foundation. Five years after the project, that customer says everything has held up, in a house with three young kids, and plans to use them again. A customer who has known Will and the company for well over a decade says it builds homes around Sebago Lake but also takes on smaller work, from fixing a bent storm door to overhauling a kitchen and living area and building custom furniture. The same customer says Will and his team price their work fairly, finish on time and set expectations from day one.

I’ve known Will and Dovetail Builders for well over a decade, and these guys are simply the best in the business. They build some absolutely beautiful million dollar homes around Sebago Lake and surrounding areas, but have never hesitated to help me with the smaller stuff. That has ranged from fixing a bent storm door to completely overhauling our kitchen and living area, along with building some of the finest custom furniture we own. Will and his team are great craftsmen, price their work fairly, finish on time, and most importantly, set the right expectations from day one. No surprises, no nonsense, just great work. Big project or small, I would trust Dovetail Builders without hesitation. Highly recommend these guys!

Wil and the Dovetail team renovated our kitchen, including building out custom cabinets, installing flooring, extending a wall and the foundation amongst 100s of smaller items that went into the job. We're 5 years post-project and everything has held up extremely well, and we're hard on the house with 3 young kids. Would highly recommend Dovetail (and did to a few friends!) and we will use them again: they just do great work.
