Green Mountain Solar

Green Mountain Solar installs solar panels and home batteries. A recent customer said the installers worked with existing conduits from a former generator system and ran the leads through the attic for a Tesla battery system, and that a rebate Ian mentioned while they waited for the install came through. A recent customer chose the company over a national solar corporation and said Ian Veralli approached them as a solar advisor rather than a salesman. Its BBB grade is A+. A 2025 customer said GMS installed a 12.75 kWh roof-mounted array with microinverters and two 13.5kWh batteries. A 2024 customer said the company subcontracts panel installation for some projects, including theirs, and brought in its in-house team for touch-up work after inspecting the subcontractors' job. A 2023 customer with a federal style home built around 1810 said GMS designed and installed an array without drilling any holes in the copper roof, using clamps only. A 2025 Reddit commenter in r/vermont said Tesla Powerwalls installed by Green Mountain Solar through the GMP program were great, and that the only downside was that the company was the most expensive. In a 2023 r/burlington post, a customer said that on the day of install they were told portions of the roof were not compatible with solar panels and the install would have to be cancelled. In r/vermont threads, a 2024 commenter said Green Mountain Solar was professional to deal with and the crew did a good job, and a 2025 commenter said the company was awesome and cost less than the competitors. In early 2023 Reddit threads, one commenter said the company does terrible work with insanely low standards, and another said to avoid it at all costs.
