A dead lawn becoming a green, growing backyard over one season is how one November 2025 customer described Green Sphere's work. Other dated customers describe lawn recovery, explanations of treatments and mosquito or tick control. The company says it is a local, family-owned Newburyport business founded and led by Chris Imlach, serving North Shore towns with lawn care, plant health care and organic mosquito and tick treatments. Google lists a 4.9-star average from 257 ratings as of August 2026. In an October 2024 review, one homeowner described aeration, overseeding, fertilizer and lime treatments, saying the lawn improved within a couple of weeks of aeration and overseeding. They credited Evan and Jeremiah with taking time to answer questions and explain lawn care. A September 2023 customer said the team identified fungus during a mosquito and tick visit, treated it and helped the lawn flourish after drought damage. Communication mattered to several customers. A November 2025 reviewer said advance text messages helped them plan grass cutting and that Jeremiah explained the purpose of different applications. Another, writing that month, described emails before service and a follow-up email after the lawn was treated. In a separate November account, a customer said Domenic explained landscape problems and, when he did not have an immediate answer, photographed them for the team to develop a response. A November 2025 customer also praised adjustments to scheduling, advice on a new planting and monthly newsletters. Pest treatments drew their own accounts. In March 2026, a Salisbury customer described three years of mosquito and tick service, praising the materials and pricing. An October 2025 reviewer said their dog had not picked up a tick from the yard since treatments began in 2021. A December 2024 customer described a marked decline in mosquitoes and no deer ticks during their third year with Green Sphere. Those are individual customers' observations about their yards. A January 2026 reviewer described a sharply different lawn-care experience. They said the lawn died under Green Sphere's service, large sections were missed during fertilization and repeated calls rarely brought a visit. When workers did arrive, the reviewer said technicians changed and seemed unfamiliar with previous treatments. The customer alleged that concerns were blamed on them and remained unresolved. By contrast, the November 2025 customer who described recovery from a dead lawn praised communication, fair prices and recommendations without pressure to buy unnecessary services.
I have used this company for 3 years in Salisbury, MA for mosquito and tick control. They are professional and do the job with only ecofriendly materials. They are a locally owned small business with very fair pricing. Highly recommend!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Green Sphere Landscaping in Newburyport was extremely disappointing. The customer service was consistently inadequate, and the quality of their lawn care was the worst I’ve encountered. My lawn ultimately died under their service. Despite calling repeatedly for help, they rarely showed up—and on the few occasions they did, it was a different technician every time, none of whom seemed familiar with the property or past treatments. They routinely missed large sections of the yard when fertilizing, and even after bringing this to their attention multiple times, the response was always the same: blame placed on me rather than taking any accountability. There was no ownership of the issues, no consistent follow-through, and no meaningful effort to resolve the problems they caused. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Green Sphere Landscaping.

Having contracted GreenSphere the past several yrs, we’ve been extremely pleased with the team, Domenic has been very attentive and willing to take the time to explain what’s going on with our landscape and is always open to discuss/explain any observations I may have when something isn’t looking just right. If he doesn’t have the immediate answer, he takes pictures for his team and they promptly get back with a plan of resolution to combat the issue at hand.
We have been using Greensphere for 2+ years and our lawn has never looked better. They are very professional. I like how they text me before they do an application so I can plan my grass cutting. Our tech Jeremiah is great! He answers all my questions about the lawn care and explains the purpose of the different applications. We tried many different lawn care services. All of them were unreliable, and our lawn looked worse. Since using Greensphere our lawn looks much better. I highly recommend them.
