Gregoire Plastering is an interior plastering outfit based in Mason, New Hampshire, run by Gary Gregoire and working across southern New Hampshire and down into the Massachusetts SouthCoast, where the company's own site says it covers Marion and Mattapoisett. Its own material claims over 40 years in the contracting trade and hundreds of completed projects. What it is hired for is specific: plaster and horsehair-plaster repair, traditional wooden lathing, historic restoration, and the structural side of beams and purlins when a wall or ceiling has gone out of true. Directory listings add drywall and wall/ceiling repair to the same list. The customer record is short but consistent and almost entirely from 2026. Reviewers describe extensive plaster repair on a historic building finished on time and with clear communication, patch work on a 1920s horsehair-plaster house by a crew the homeowner specifically valued for knowing that material, a same-visit repair where the tradesman decided the job was small, fetched his tools and finished it within the hour at what the customer called a fair price, and a primary-suite addition completed by Gary and Cedar that a homeowner called top-tier, clean and organised. One reviewer, a painter of many years on Nantucket and Cape Cod, wrote in June 2026 that he had never painted behind a plaster job as good as the one the pair did in Mattapoisett. Another credits them with spotting a ceiling that was about to collapse. A few things to note before booking. Cleanliness and punctuality come up repeatedly, but every written review on file dates from 2026, so there is no long tail of older accounts to test consistency over time - and the two ratings on Angi and HomeAdvisor, from 2019 and 2021 and carried against a New Bedford, Massachusetts address, have no written text at all. Those directory pages also state 11 years in business against the company's own claim of more than 40 years in the trade, which is worth asking about directly. New Hampshire does not register plasterers or home-improvement contractors, so there is no state licence to look up here; ask instead for current liability and workers' compensation certificates. For historic plaster - horsehair ceilings, wood lath, a wall that has to match what is already there - this is a credible, well-reviewed choice. Get the scope and the dust-protection plan in writing, and confirm which crew will actually be on site.

They did a great job to repair the water damage from the storm
Lots of experience, easy to work with. Will definitely be recommending to friends who they need plastering done or repairs.
Gary did a fantastic job on some extensive plaster repair work on our historic building. Communication was clear, the work was well done and completed in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend.
Showed up on time to look at a plastering job. Decided the job wasn’t that big, and went back to his truck and returned in a few minutes with everything to complete the job. An hour or so later, job done! Gave us a fair price and did a great job. Highly recommend!
I have been a painter for many years on Nantucket and Cape Cod and have never painted behind a plaster job as good as the one that Cedar and Gary did in Mattapoisett. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a crew with integrity and attention to detail!!
