Grow'N Mow Landscaping & Hardscape is a Braintree outfit that says it's been shaping South Shore yards since 2012, working out of 25 Taylor St with routes into Weymouth, Abington, Quincy, Randolph, and Holbrook. It describes itself as a lawn-care and hardscape shop, and it's an authorized installer for Nicolock pavers — a detail that lines up with how much of its outside praise centers on patios and stonework rather than just mowing. Its numbers are strikingly clean: a 5.0 rating on Thumbtack across 24 reviews, Top Pro recognition in both 2017 and 2018, and a perfect single rating on Google. Reviews stretching back to 2017 keep naming the same person — Luis — and cover a mix of routine maintenance and larger installation work, with independent praise for the crew and owner turning up separately on Nextdoor and in a Yahoo Local listing. That's a review history spanning five different sources over nearly a decade without a documented complaint anywhere in it, which is more corroboration than most small landscaping outfits get. There's no Massachusetts license badge attached here, and that's expected — landscaping-only work is exempt from the state's home-improvement contractor registration, so its absence isn't a red flag. Thumbtack does list the business as background-checked, verified in March 2025. Beyond the ratings themselves, most of what's out there is aggregate scores and short third-party mentions rather than a deep bench of freshly dated reviews, so there's not much public detail yet on pricing or scheduling beyond what the company states on its own site. For a yard job that runs from mowing through to a stone patio or walkway, the consistency across platforms — Thumbtack, Google, Nextdoor, and neighborhood word of mouth all pointing the same direction — is the strongest thing going for them. Worth asking for a couple of recent local references to see that pattern hold up on your own street.

We've use Grow'N Mow on a couple of occasions. First was extensive: grading then seeding yard, pouring a slab for a large shed, construction of a pebble fire pit, removing a couple trees, and adding several plantings. More recently they helped us with a clean up. They've always been very responsive and the work is great. We're very happy and will continue to call them as needed.

I had such a great experience working with Grow N Mow. They are extremely professional, attentive to detail, and affordable as well. Luis was always available for questions if needed during the project. They did such a beautiful job on my patio and executed the exact plan I had in mind. They really went the extra mile and do such awesome quality work.

I called Luis and the same day he was able to come by and give me a quote for my lawn and mulching. His pricing was fair and I am also hiring him to do some masonry work on my steps.

Grow 'n Mow mulched my flower beds when I realized I wasn't going to have the time to do it. Came by immediately to provide a free quote, and then performed the job extremely well, even including a free lawn mow! My yard looks great and the work was affordable. Very happy!
