H F Johnson Tree Farm - Tree Transplanting and Moving

H F Johnson Tree Farm describes itself as a family-owned tree farm in Osterville, Massachusetts, selling and transplanting mature trees across Cape Cod and Southern New England since 1920, and says it is now a fourth-generation family business. It holds 5 stars from 20 Google ratings and an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. New England Home Magazine has featured Arnie and Barry Johnson of Osterville's H.F. Johnson Tree Farm. A recent customer who lost a pink crabapple tree in a blizzard found only small starter trees elsewhere and picked a white crabapple here. Zach and Rick removed the old stump and installed the new tree, and that customer said they took measures to protect the lawn while moving their equipment. Joe followed up with tips on care for the transplant. A recent customer walked in with a special request; the farm found the tree with a grower down south, sent pictures to choose from and coordinated transport, and it went in the ground with guy wires and soil amendments. A recent customer in Dennisport bought two trees for the front of their home, with arborist Marc Mertz guiding the process from selection to installation, and the purchase included a two-year periodic monitoring service. A recent customer said Barry and Zach estimated and installed green giants. A recent customer said the company used laboratory analysis to determine the status of plant abnormalities and was careful not to cause collateral damage with heavy equipment on large plant installations. A recent customer said Barry and his team left clear guidelines and aftercare instructions after the installation. A 2025 customer bought five 16-foot Norway spruce trees for a spring landscaping project and said the site was left pristine after the installation. A 2022 customer who had a dogwood planted in N. Truro said the two people installing it were polite and informative.
